Tears Of Summayah - Episode 54

 

Hadizah wants only one thing; to see Summayah right away. She asked if she could see her, Dr. Maryam who was also in shock about the revelation Uthman just nodded her head. She knew she had lost him, she had to forget about the love that was already burning in her heart. She had to quench it with water. 

Dr. Maryam:(She wiped her tears) I have to leave right now, i have to go in for a surgery. 

Hadizah:Thank you so much . (She looked at Uthman before dragging him out of her office) 

Uthman:Mum, there is a lot of people watching. I have to check out on my patients too. 

Hadizah:Not until you see what kind of pain she is in because of your stupid mistake. I can't even see any sign of remorse on your face, i can't believe i gave birth to a heartless son. (She shouted) 

Uthman:Mother,stop this. This is an hospital for crying out loud. 

Hadizah:I don't care, for your information i know where this place is. 

(They walked into the ward Summayah was in, Hadizah couldn't hold her tears anymore when she saw her. Her chapped lips and the drips attached to her hands, Summayah was on nasal cannula because of the difficulty she had in breathing.)

Hadizah:You ruined her perfect life. You are worst than those that beat her up

. Why didn't you just tell me to get you married instead of r-ping a girl close to be your younger sister. Why? Just tell me why? 

Uthman:I am ready to rectify my mistakes, that is why i am doing all this. I promise you it was a mistake. 

Hadizah:Tell me what do you want to rectify, will it change the facts that you ruined her everything? You call it a mistake when you are not the one being humiliated, she has been living in pain for the past months. She has been in pain all because of you, you caused this upon her. She was tagged with so many names, beaten, disowned and almost died just because of that mistake of yours. Are you not ashamed to even face her? 

Uthman:We can face this together, i will be there for her. Through everything, just believe me. 

Hadizah:You have ruined everything. (She sat beside Summayah and held her hands) Do you know how much she has done to protect her unborn even though she didn't know who the father was. She has a heart of gold, a rare human that is Summayah. I really didn't expect this from you. You stayed quiet all this while, that means you can do something worse than this. 

Uthman:(He was lost, this was the first time his mother had truly yelled at him ever since he was born. He had truly dissapointed her and ready to make a change.)Mo... 

Hadizah:There is no more explanation, I don't need any of it. All i know is that you have disgraced me and i still can't believe all you have said. (She walked out on him)

(uthman looked at his mother, she had left with Maryam and his daughter who has been standing at the door. He moved closer to Summayah and sat down beside her on the bed.) 

Uthman:No matter what happens, you have to be strong and i know you can pull through. I will always be here for you no matter what people say about us, i will protect you. (He was about to stand up when Summayah moved her fingers and opened her eyes.Tears began to form from the corner of her eyes at she looked at him.) Summayah. 

Summayah:You...are...not...saying...the truth, you...are...lying to all of them right? 

Uthman:We can talk about this when you are healthy, get better. (He looked away quickly) 

Summayah:Just tell me what the truth is, you are not the father of my unborn child. I know you are lying, do you remember that night i met you at the hotel? 

Uthman:Yes.

Summayah:You asked me what i was doing there considering the fact that i was young. You got angry after knowing that i was pregnant, you asked me about my education and my parents. You even gave me money to stop selling my body out even when you don't know what the truth was. How can you be my r-pist then, just tell me how. Why are you taking the blame on yourself? Just tell me why?

Uthman:I am the one that r-ped you, that child you are carrying is mine. Why can't you understand me? I will explain everything to you when you are fine. Please, believe me. 

Summayah:(She shouted while Dr Maryam entered and tried calming her down) Why is this happening to me? Ya Allah, i am sick and tired of this trial. Why is this happening to me? Jamiu divorced me already, he left and humiliated me in public. Now, brother uthman is saying another thing. I can't believe this, i am already going crazy. This is too much for me, Allah take me away from this world. I can't find any happiness.

Uthman:Summa...

Dr Maryam:Dr. Uthman, i think it is best if you leave her for sometime. She needs to rest, don't stress her brain out. 

(Uthman left the room quietly while Summayah broke down in tears. Maryam tried to pacify her but the pain she was feeling cannot be quantified, after Allah_there is no one that can truly ease her pain.) 

Summayah:Am i the only one in this world that suffers like this? Why am i betrayed by those people closest to me?  Why do i feel suffocated with this world? 

Dr Maryam:I know how you feel but you need to listen to what he has to say. Uthman is a very good man since the first day i knew him, he must have his reasons for all this. 

Summayah:I have failed to bring you two together, i have always been the bad girl. Now, i have come between the love you had for him. 

Dr Maryam:It hurts but you are more important right now. Any decision you take, i will stand by you, i mean it dear... When he comes to see you, speak to him softly and listen to whatever he has to say. 

Summayah:I was rude and i will apologize. Thank you. 

Dr Maryam:You have to rest, don't be sad about what happened to you. Today is Eid and you have to be happy. (She lay her on the bed, patted her and she fell asleep. She stood up and closed the door quietly.)

(Uthman went back to her ward in the evening after a nurse had just left. He entered and she was still sleeping.)

Uthman:I am sorry if i have hurt you today or it triggered your past that you didn't want to remember. All i want is to take away this pain, i promise to be there for you always... 

(He walked out, went back home to clear things out with his mother. He met her packing Summayah's stuff in her bag, he greeted her but she avoided it.) 

Uthman:Salam Alaikum. 

Hadizah:(She continued with her work) 

Uthman:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made spreading salaam a part of faith. Al-Bukhaari (12, 28 and 6236), Muslim (39), Ahmad (2/169), Abu Dawood (5494), al-Nisaai, (8/107) and Ibn Hibbaan (505) narrated from Abd-Allaah ibn Umar that a man asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): What is the best thing in Islam? He said, Feeding others and giving the greeting of salaam to those whom you know and those whom you do not know.
So, mother will you reply to my salam or not? 

Hadizah:(Her heart softened) Walaykum salaam warahmotulah wabarakatuh. 

Uthman:Good,can i have a talk with you right now? 

Hadizah:I am busy. 

Uthman:We need to talk about Summayah, please? You are the only one that can help me right now. 

Hadizah:Why should i help you?

Uthman:I am your son and Summayah is like a daughter to you? You wouldn't like to see anyone harmed right? 

Hadizah:Yes,is she alright? 

Uthman:She can be much more better if i you can help me.

Hadizah:Which is? 

Uthman:Let's go to your room. 

(They settled down on her bed and uthman looked at his mother with sincerity in his voice.)

Uthman:I know you are dissapointed when i said i was Summayah's r-pist this morning, i didn't do it but i was just trying to make everyone else believe that it was me. I couldn't bear to see her take the blame, she will be pointed at when she walks in the society. She will be isolated again, i was happy when i noticed she was finally free with us and can say anything to you. 

Hadizah:Really?

Uthman:Yes,mother. This is the first time in so many years that i actually want to get married again. I love her so much, Summayah might be a young girl but she possess the big heart. She might be disabled but she is the best partner to have. I don't care if she is pregnant because i am ready to be the father of her unborn child. 

Hadizah:Uthman,what are you saying? 

Uthman:Yes, i have been thinking about this for a long time. I was not sure if i should voice out my feelings to you because it sounds ridiculous. I can't take it anymore when they insult her character, and mother don't think that i am taking advantage of the situation. Remember if it was another lady, i would have done the same. 

Hadizah:I...I

Uthman:Try to understand this, i am ready for anything. I said this to Dr Maryam this morning because i still didn't want anyone to accuse her. Do you know what this internet people wrote about her? Those useless and worthless internet attention seeker wrote about her? I don't pray she ever sees it. All the hate will be directed to me very soon and that is what I want. I promise i will make her happy again if she get married to me. 

Hadizah:I just don't know what to say to this. Summayah would never agree to this,at least not now. 

Uthman:You can make her... I promise to stand by her and be a good father to her child. She will be able to walk with pride and her dignity will be restored. I will give her the happiness she wants and be the family she had lost. She will surely see a new meaning to life, i don't want her to continue like this or be a single mother. We can build our little family together and i promise never to make her feel sad. I am not perfect but we can build this relationship together. For now, i will have to bear people's rants but the most important thing is to see her smile again. 

Hadizah:I can see you have the best intentions. Do you promise to always love and will you keep her happy? 

Uthman:Yes, i promise to make her happy. 

Hadizah:No reason to cry or unhappy? To bring back her old self. 

Uthman:Yes,i promise. 

Hadizah:I will have a talk with her when she is fine. 

Uthman:Thank you so much mother.

Hadizah:I am not promising you anything yet but i will surely try my best. I can't force her to do anything.

Uthman:I will respect her decision. 

Hadizah:Good.I have to go now. She's all alone in the hospital. I won't be coming back home tonight, so get fadilah to sleep. 

Uthman:Okay mum.

(Jennifer watched the video on facebook and there was no better joy than that. She laughed at how miserable Summayah looked while she was being slapped. Jamiu and his mother joined her in the sitting room looking all fulfilled and contented.) 

Jamiu:Jennifer.

Jennifer:Yes.

Jamiu:How did you get to know Summayah will be there because i had doubts when you told me. 

Jennifer:I told you i wasn't lying. There was a day i got a call from my mother to come home, i rushed to the bus stop to board a bus, i saw Summayah with a woman inside the car. She looked happy when i saw her, their car entered a building. 

Jamiu:How did you later get other information. 

Jennifer:I called my mom immediately to help me with a guy that can trace her everyday and he did it. That man that came to her rescue was the one that drove her back to their so called house. The guy did a great job for me by tracking their every move. 

Jamiu:(He hugged her) That is why i love you, you are so beautiful, smart and amazing. I cannot really tell you how good i felt when you showed her face to me, i love the expression on her face. I wanted to strangle her at that moment for all the pain she caused us, only God knows where she spent all the money she sold the gold on. 

Jennifer:Don't worry, we would ruin her to the extent that she will not ever show her face to the world. I have guys that will help me do the job and post it on social media. 

Jamiu:Thank you so much. I love it when she plead for mercy and cry her eye out. She still looked beautiful though, she must be enjoying the guy's cash. Very shameless girl.

Mrs Aminat:Don't mind the useless girl.

Jennifer:I love you too baby. We would ruin her together, this is just part one of the show for her. 

Jamiu:I solely support anything you do to her.
