"Anadia.. Hang in there.." Kane's voice calls out and it seems to make Brett angry.

"Tell that as*hole leave and to take all the others outside the door with him, I. Just need you.. No one else."

I breath through my mouth, my eyes going to Maurice for a moment, he looks pale and he looks like he need immediate attention.

Oh God.

I need immediate attention too.

Pain goes through me and I groan.

" What.. What. . What is wrong with you? "

" Nothing... Just let this people go and we can be together, you and me will get out of here and run away."

"Really?"

"Yes really.. Just let them go"

"Okay.... Anything for you Ani" He says before walking towards me and placing the gun by my temple.

"You.." he points at Linda.. "Open the door and get out, you and that bleeding pig" He says and Linda helps a half alive  Maurice up limping to the door and opening it.

My eyes meet Kane's for a split second and I See the fear in his, the door closes. 

Another contraction ensues and I clench the sheet beneath my hand. 

"How do we get out of here...?" he asks. 

I almost yell at him but pain steals my breath.

. We uh.." another contraction ensues and I breath, waiting for it to pass. 

"What is wrong with you?" 

"Oh.. Nothing... Just. Just thinking... Oh God" I scream as another contraction starts. 

"Anadia!" Kane's voice yells. 

"What is going on...? "Brett sounds confused. 

" I.. I think I'm having a baby "

" You think! "He yells. 

" We have to get out of here Brett,, you have to give me your gun.. Uh.. Hide your gun.. Soo..uh..so they don't know its you..you..uh..oh God "

" Hide my gun..? 

"Yes...

. For safety purposes, you have to hide it.. Go out and wait for me To Follow" I say, hoping against hope that Brett is stupid. 

"Do you think I'm stupid?" I knew he wasn't... 

"Get your ass up, we are leaving" He says, pulling me to my feet. 

I bite my lip against the sudden pain. 

I fall to the ground, the pain making me unable to move. 

"Get the f*ck up..." 

"Can't" 

"Get the f*ck up you slut..." 

"I.. Can't.." 

He screams pulling me up  and that must be all Kane could take because the door bursts open and the room is filled with policemen. 

"Hands in the air sir.." 

"F*ck.." He says, pointing the gun at my head, my back to his front. 

"Hands in the air sir.." 

"You all are going to let me go or she dies.. Why can't you all mind your f*cking business.!!" 

My eyes are on Kane and he looks beyond pissed. 

Another contraction starts and I bite my lip. 

"Sir..." A. Policeman starts. 

The next series of events are a blur of pain and Anger because the next thing I know is that a contraction almost made me go blind and that I stump on Brett's foot making him let me go in pain. 

A shot rings out and Brett being shot in the leg by a policeman. 

I'm in Kane's arms and my body refuses to stop trembling. 

"Ani.." 

"Baby is.. Coming" I mutter... Confusion fills his eyes, and I know he's thinking that I'm only seven months gone. 

"Baby... Caspian" 

"Get a fucking doctor in here" He yells.

I wasn't able to hold my child, I was too weak to hold my baby before they took her to the incubator. 

Marissa King came into the world kicking and screaming. 

I stand outside the incubator room two weeks later, watching her kick at the empty air... The doctor thinks we can take her home in a week or so. 

"She looks so tiny" Aroofa comments. 

"That's because she's premature" Aroos says. 

These girls have read up on all there is to read about on babies. 

Cas's hand on my waist stills and I lift my head to look at him, he's looking at the direction of Marissa where a nurse is checking her vitals. 

"She's fine baby" I say and he nods. 

Ever since that night two weeks ago Kane has been paranoid. 

I try to make him know nothing is going to go wrong but it's taking time. 

Brett is behind bars and between Kane and Cash he won't be seeing the sun ever again. 

I don't know how to feel about the fact that someone I trusted has been tormenting me but I know I wil get better with my family beside me. 

Juliet has come to apologise but I hold no grudges against her... We don't make decisions for people. 

"Do you think Linda wil come see Maris now?" Aroofa asks. 

"She's with Maurice, Anaya will be here soon though" Aroos replies and the gradually lessening guilt in my stomach pricks me. 

Maurice has been in the hospital since that day because the bullet hit a vital organ. 

The doctor said a minute later and he would have lost his life.. 

Linda refuses to speak to any of us but she comes to see Maris whom I have named after Maurice sometimes. 

I lift my head to see Kane staring at me. 

He'. Does that a lot these days and I know it's part of him making sure I'm safe. 

"Right here baby" I whisper. 

"Right" he says, bending to kiss my neck.
