Regret - Episode 3
Rose was sitting on the cushion in the living room when she heard a knock. She was weak and her eyes were red and bulgy from a lot of crying. She stood up to answer the door. Immediately she opened the door her friends had already stomped her with a barrage of questions. "What did you say happened to Sara? "."Are you alright?, Is Sara alright?, Please tell me what really happened, Your eyes are swollen, why are you crying? I have never seen you like this before". "Please come and tell us what happened" . Her friends were Damilola and Tonye.They have been friends for close to six years now. It was when Rose's marriage was still early. They met at a grocery store. They bonded over similar interests. She remembered how they met. Rose was new to the place and she was looking for a particular product. Lola had come to her aid. They got talking, they saw a woman who was trying to get something from the top shelf. In the process she fell every other thing down. Rose and Lola had gone to help her after laughing their guts out. She remembered and thought. Her friends had been good to her all this time. And all she could do was lie to them. A lie of omission actually. She thought, she had nothing to lose if she told them the truth about her marriage. They've been close for long enough for her to trust them

. "My marriage is not all rosy" Rose said. "What do you mean? ,Mike is a very nice man, how is it connected to Sara's condition? " they both asked in confusion. Rose started to narrate everything thing that has been going in in her marriage including what happened to Sara. After the story, Lola was speechless while Tonye started to rant."Mike is a very stupid man..what kind of man does that to his wife...he's very heartless..he doesn't deserve you..he's an idiot..he doesn't have a conscience...Tonye ranted on. Lola had to calm her down. Even after she was calmed, she continued to mumble profanities at Mike.
"So when is she leaving? " she asked. "It's not that easy to just chase her out of the house. She's still my wife with a child for me" Mike said in reply. "She's still your wife but you claim you love me", "I love you, just give me time, with time I would come up with something."Mike replied. "That's what you say everytime. I have given you enough time already. Just man up and tell her you need a divorce. Mike thought, women think these things are easy.
Amy was on duty in Rose's house when her phone rang. She answered. "Yes, who is this?". "It's me, Amy I would love to meet you this evening, I have a proposal for you" Amy recognized the voice. " I would love to meet you this evening, I would text you the location", Okay" Amy said as she switched off the call. Amy wondered what she wanted with her. She continued sweeping anyway.
