"What do you people want?" She asks as soon as they are all it sitted. She'd been borderline shocked when she turned and saw her dad hadn't been the only passenger in the bus. Practically the entire Abayomi family had come.
"Well, I see you are one to get straight to the point. So let's get to it . We are here about Delta...," Bolami begins. As patriarch, it was agreed he would do the talking.
"Uh...I'm going to have to stop you right there, I'm not selling."
"You don't need to. You are family, we just need you to take the family name so as to stop the violence at the belt."
She snickers, "Thanks but no thanks. I'll solve my problems on my own as I've always done. Plus, we may share blood ties, but you aren't my family and lastly, it's been almost twenty nine years and I've done just fine without your name. I've never needed it before, I don't need it now."
"We get why you would feel that way but trust us..."
She sighs and holds her head in frustration, "I don't trust you. That is something that is earned, not given."
"Won't you just shut up and let grandfather finish!" Harry practically shouts, he was born to Cassandra, Connor's elder sister around the same year Olivia was born. Though she was a couple of months older than him

. He always had the utmost respect for Bolami and didn't like how this woman was speaking to him.
She looks at him and smiles, "I've always done whatever I want and said whatever I want with no apologies sweetheart. I'm not about to change that now. If you don't like it, well, don't let the door hit you on the a*s on your way out."
All this while, Bolami had been pacing around the living room looking at the pictures. Several pictures were of her and her kids, but two caught his attention, they were at the back and no one ever really saw them despite the fact that they were in plain site.
On was of a little girl beside a beautiful woman and a guy who could not be made out as he had been cut out of the picture and only his arm could be seen. The other was of the same little girl, slightly older but with another boy, older than her but of Arabic decent, one could easily mistake them for siblings since they were both light skinned with smooth hair. Kind of like the woman in the other picture. She seemed to have green eyes, but that was impossible since pure blood africans didn't have that colour of eyes. Could Diana have been a mixed child?
The little girl seemed happy in both pictures. He takes both pictures and turns, "Is this you in this pictures?"
She turns to him and frowns. She walks up to him and talks the pictures from him. Her eyes lands on the images of the two most important people in her life once, now they are both dead. For a second, intense pain flashes through her face. No one but Bolami catches it.
"I take it they were both important people in your life," he asks softly.
She clears her throat, "Keep your hands off my stuff," she replies coldly and replaces the photos, "Look, I've got somewhere I need to be, did you have anything else in mind to discuss or is whatever this is over?"
"Look child, I know you are hurting over a lot of things just, let us help you. Please, that's what family is for."
"No, that's what a therapist is for, if I was indeed hurting, I'd hire one."
"Jewel, I'm sorry," Connor interrupts them. He'd been quite this whole time listening to her cold, distant replies, this was not how it should be going, "I'm so sorry baby, for everything. I am at fault, I never should have done what I did. I was wrong."
Both Olivia and Bolami look at his emotional face. She is moved by the apology but it doesn't last, suddenly she is filled with rage.
"Micheal is two years older than me, that means you were already married when you met my mom. She wasn't perfect, but I know she would never have dated a married man."
"I lied to her, everything I told her from the moment I met her was a lie. The only true thing about the whole period was my love for her. I still love her."
She laughs humourlessly, "You don't lie to someone you love. And the only thing I've heard since you begun talking is that the last years of my mother's life were a lie.

. The last thing I remember about her final few months was the immense pain she was in right before she died, and the one thing I know is that it was all your fault. Now you sit there with that pathetic look on your face and that half a*s apology and expect what...forgiveness? I hate to break it to you Connor, but you are twenty three years too late."
Her voice was low, too calm. Her face was blank, normally that would spell danger, this case was no different, the two highly trained guards who had travelled with the family but blended in and took a sit as per Bolami's instructions caught it and stood up then moved towards her.
"Leave my house, now," she says coldly.
"You need a time out baby sis. No one gives this family orders. We came for you to listen to us, and we are not living until you do," Micheal says smugly. The guards interpret his words to mean they should force her to sit and listen so they keep moving towards her.
A slow smile creeps on her face, "Oh really, touch me and die," she tells Micheal then the guards, slowly. They stop, look at her and measure her out. Unfortunately for them, they misjudge her threat level.
"You'll have to take a sit ma'am," the first guard says and reaches for her arm. Everything moves so fast, no one is able to follow it. All anyone is able to say is that one minute the guards are standing, the next, they are on the floor bleeding out. Olivia doesn't even seem to have broken a sweat.
She walks up to the landline and dials a number, "I need you to escort some people out...and clean up a little mess I made."
"How in hell did you do that? Wait, are they alive?" Clayton asks shocked.
"Not my problem," she answers casually, "I've got to go," she says leaving as security walks in.
"Oh! And next time I see any of these people around my house, you all should consider yourselves fired,"She smiles and asks the driver to take her into town to meet her family.
