My Past My Future - Episode 6
Not long after that he left after eating and chit chat talk of brother and sister between him and Lizzy but I cares less cus ain't given him any face again.
I inhaled the scent of the flower and placed the banquet near my bed without any reason, I laid down to catch a little sleep.
Frank's POV
I enjoyed the way she looked at me because that was my aim when I spent two hours in front of the mirror adjusting and readjusting my clothing to achieve a perfect look and now those efforts paid off.
I maintained eye contact with her and continued smiling hoping that will melt her heart but she disappointed me when all I could get is just a smile from her but at least she noticed my cuteness.
I was elated by the way she stroked the flowers which shows that she likes it but the stern look on her face when she looked up showed me that all hope was lost.
The beautiful smile is gone, those brown eyes that tingle whenever she smiles are all cold now.
"Why the stern look" I wondered checking all I have said to know if I have said anything to offend her, finding nothing I relaxed.
With the hope that she will come around, I still admired the wonders of the Lord's creation on her.
After the chit chat with my sister, I decided to go because the room is becoming cold.
I stood up and went out but not without a stern face because I was disappointed by her response, Lizzy followed me immediately asking me what went wrong but I ignored her.
Deep inside me I know that I have failed again on my mission, the boss will be disappointed in me and this means am in for a big questioning from the boss.
Lizzy stood there looking at me expecting an answer from me but when she found out that I am not ready to talk she left.
I brought out my phone to answer my bosses call
"Hello boss, the package is not yet ready but I promise to deliver the proceed soon" I whispered on the phone keeping my voice as low as possible as I trekked down to where I packed my car.
I held the phone to my ear very well to record what the person in the other end is saying and I bellowed a thick "yes sir" I entered my car and zoomed off.
Lizzy's POV
I was very happy in the effort my brother is making to win over Chioma although I know that she is a hard nut to crack judging with the story she just told me but with the constant smile they both share, I felt happy and decided to stay out of the conversation so that they will have their fill.
Things were moving on well until I noticed the stern look both of them shares which made me uncomfortable but what will I say or do when I know nothing of what is wrong with them.
When my brother decided to go I knew immediately that something was wrong and decided to do a sisterly job by seeing him off.
Outside I tried asking him but he couldn't even tell me anything.
I trudged inside to confront Chioma, trying to make her see reasons with me
"What is totally wrong with you, are you going to push off every suitable suitors around you because of one stupid guy in your past. Why don't you move on, enjoy your love life and see that there is more to your future than your past"
When she did not move on the bed I angrily muttered to myself
"I know what to do, I will start setting you up with guys"
I stopped ranting when a message beeped in my phone, I read the message and shakes my head, and I whispered "this is not good, change of plan"
I looked at the bewildered Chioma that is now awake looking at me, I muttered a quick "I am coming and left the room"
