My Mistake - Episode 13

 

Two years later (I made a mistake of writing Seven years in the prologue instead of two. Please forgive my mistake. Thank you).

It was a perfect day, cloudless and warm, and the singing breeze carried a tantalizing mixture of scents across the beautiful garden. Aysha has spread out a tablecloth on a grassy area, and Amirah was happily munching on an egg salad with samosa. Aysha glanced at her watch, it was already 1:00 . She could not believe it. The morning had been dragged and the afternoon was winging by. She had to think of an alternative before Fadeel came back.

The past year and half wasn't an easy one. With Fadeel jumping from not wanting kids to wanting them all over again after a year and half. Ever since he started that charade, she had been trying to make it possible but couldn't. Always keeping her monthly cycle in check and her ovulation period too. What could he possibly do if she can't get pregnant when he was the one who introduced the idea to her? 

"So? Have you thought of visiting a doctor or something? I think Fadeel is way too serious on this issue, wasn't he the one who told you to take the pills?"

"He was. But he didn't force me Y'know

. I took the pills willingly and i hope they haven't destroyed my womb yet." Aysha replied sadly, looking down at her hands.

Amirah sighed, feeling fulfilled and happy___glad that her plan is working just the way she wants it to. Fadeel will soon be hers___and there's nothing Aysha can do about that.

"Visit a doctor and see. Let's take it step it step okay?"

"Okay. Thank you Girl. What could i have done without you? Absolutely nothing."

"Nothing of course" and they laughed.

Aysha and Fa'izah's relationship has still not gotten stable. Even when Fa'izah got married, Aysha only attended the wedding Nikka and ignored the remaining events__claiming to be sick. But she wasn't sick, she let Amirah poisoned her mind and made her more angry at her friend.....why? Because Fa'izah got married to Muhammad.

What Aysha believed was that, even if she and Muhammad didn't get married___Fa'izah shouldn't have married him because he showed interest in her. Fa'izah tried all she could to smooth their relationship but to no avail. She then decided to also ignore Aysha for the time been and focus on her marriage.

Fadeel and Amirah are already planning their wedding. What to wear, where to live and many more. The past two years has not been easy for both him and Aysha. Even though, he can't say he hates her like he did from the beginning, but he still couldn't love her like she wanted. Amirah has already got him locked and keeps poisoning his mind against Aysha.

He throws tantrums everyday shouting at her for every mistake. Making her feel less of a woman by comparing her to other women who are mothers. Now, as she seats in the living room awaiting his return__her heart beats in folds as anxiety filled her heart. What sort of pain would she endure today?

The loud bang against the door brought her back from her reverie. She stood up quickly, adjusting her skirt in the process to look more presentable to him.

"Welcome home" she said, attempting to collect his briefcase.

"Let go of me woman" he snapped angrily as he pushed her so hard, making it impossible for her not to hit her head on one of the couches.

"Ouch!" She yelped, trying to stand up "what was that for?"

"For trying to touch me. Didn't i warn you to stop talking or even getting close to me? What's so hard to understand in all that?"

Her heart sank and she couldn't help but feel the pain at the tug in her chest "i..i..w..as..o.."

"Shut up! Fucking shut up woman. I think it's time i take a second wife, one who's a real woman and not a photocopy like you."

"Stop it Fadeel. Just stop it, you have no rights to treat me this way, i am your wife and i deserve some respect."

"Respect? What respect do you deserve when you can't even be a mother? You know what? You're a disgrace to womanhood." And with that, he left for his room, banging the door loudly behind him.

Aysha slumped down, clutching her feet as tears rolled down hee checks. If only she knew, she wouldn't have agreed to keep using those pills for almost a year. But now it's too late, but she'll still fight for him___and won't give up that easily.

She woke up the next morning with a severe headache. But that didn't stop her from preparing breakfast for Fadeel, even though she knew he won't be eating it. And just like she knew, he came out prepared__ready to leave for work as he spoke on phone.

"Oh come on Amirah, I'll come over and see you after work. Wanted coming over to talk to Baba about it so I'll branch and see you before leaving okay? Now, can you please smile for me darling? Oh yes, of course. Don't worry, I'll make sure she regrets it.

Aysha stood rooted at her spot as she watched him talking on phone. He didn't even acknowledge her presence and left without even as much as a glance to her side. He is planning to get married already? And who the hell is Amirah?

She rushed to her room and picked up her phone, unlocking it, she quickly dialed Amirah's number and sat by the bed side.

"Girl, i overheard Fadeel talking on phone with some cheap whore just now. He's planning to get married already. What shall i do?" She asked in a strained voice.

Cheap whore? Amirah thought as a smirk played on her lips. She sure is going to show Aysha how a cheap whore can snatch a real woman's husband and turn her to the cheapest whore ever. She'll make sure Aysha regrets ever calling her a whore.

"Calm down woman. We'll find out who she is slowly. But for now__visit a doctor and know your stand okay?"

"Okay. Thank you."

"You're welcome. And say Hi to the cheap whore when you girls finally gets to meet okay?"
