Federal High Court Maiduguri was filled to brim, both local and international press were on ground to cover the court proceeding. After much pressure on government, it has decided to arraign Tayo in Court.
Ireti was part of those that arrived very early in company of both Francis and Edward, some Journalists tried to ask her questions but Edward prevented her from talking.
Security was beefed up around the court premises screening everyone before gaining access to the Court room.

. Tayo arrived in a wife bus escorted by armed Security Men, he highlighted from the bus, welcomed by applaud from his supporters, they shouted his name, he pointed to an inscription on his shirt “THE DICTATOR IS AFRAID OF MY PEN”
. He was led to the court room, Ireti and his friends hugged him.
All of them stood up when the Judge arrived. Justice Ambali Ibrahim asked both Counsels to announce their appearance. An agent of the DSS told the court that Tayo was charged with a one count charge of treason felony. He brought out a publication of Nigerian Voices, he read out some paragraphs

. Tayo that has been docked remember the article, he wrote it on the day of Abacha’s great March of the March in Ibadan. Justice Ambali asked him if he is guilty or not and he pleaded not guilty.
After argument by both Counsels, he was granted bail in the tune of twenty million naira by a surety who must have a landed property within the court jurisdiction. He adjourned the case.
Some of his supporters shouted, they were cautioned by the court clerk to maintain decorum. Tayo was addressing Newsmen at the entrance of the Court in company of his Lawyer, two Operatives of the DSS grabbed him from back, bundled him into a waiting bus, they drove away. His wife fainted, Francis and Edward tried to resuscitate her. Thomas John, his Lawyer was asked many questions by Journalists.
“This is an abuse of power by the military government, Abacha must know that International Communities are watching his disgraceful act, we know he is a tyrant, we are ready for him”.
