Chimaobim continuously hit the keg on his knee as he walked slowly till he got to the tap. It was unusually filled with people and they lined up their kegs in a row, while they fetched according to who came first. Chimaobim dropped his keg after the last bucket, stood and watched people move to and fro. Some kids played at the side of the tap waiting for their turn . Young boys and girls placed their wrappers on a fallen wood and sat on it. Chimaobim felt alone not having someone to talk to. He stood still and his eyes moved everywhere.

Simi arrived with Amaka not long after and they dropped their kegs at the back of Chimaobim's own. The kegs were being adjusted forward as those at the front, constantly moved their kegs to the tap. Chimaobim walked toward his keg and adjusted it like every other person. Amaka adjusted her own keg same as Simi's own, and walked back to Simi.

Simi sat on the broken slab, while Amaka made a sign for her to adjust a little bit. She did and Amaka sat down. Simi continuously fixed her eyes on Chimaobim. He wasn't looking at their side.

Simi tapped Amaka and she turned. "Na Chimaobim be that," she said.

"I know. His keg dey front of our own."

She smiled in a mischievous way

. "That's good. I get plan for him."

Amaka gazed at Simi surprisingly trying to figure the plans Simi has. Her eyes mirrored toward her face and her neck tilted down slowly, while she stared at her.

"Wetin you wan do am?" Amaka asked.

"I wan create trouble with Chimaobim. We must fight today. I go teach am lesson."

Amaka took a close look at her and sighed. "You wan still fight with am?" She said.

Smiling and clenching her teeth. "Forget am. I go deal with am," she replied.

Amaka nodded and gave her a go ahead look though she was skeptical. She had a feeling Chimaobim would beat her so well. They kept mute to each other and watched till it almost reached Chimaobim's turn. It was just a keg before his. Simi stood up and Amaka followed by, and they walked toward the queue. It got to the turn of the owner of the keg at Chimaobim's own, and a little boy came and lifted the two litre keg. He walked toward the tap and placed it under while water poured inside the keg till it almost filled up.

Before Chimaobim remembered it was his turn, Simi had carried her keg from the queue and ran toward the tap to fetch quickly. Chimaobim walked toward her closely and tapped her. She turned. "What?" She yelled.

Everybody turned. "Little girl, it's my turn, so exit yourself," Chimaobim said in an angry tone.

Simi turned staring at Chimaobim and her face lit up in a condescending emotions. The boy's keg had filled up and water started pouring out.

"Next person should fetch," a voice said.

The boy switched off the tap, lifted his keg out from the tap. Chimaobim made to put his keg under the tap and Simi used her keg to push it away.

"Are you mad? Last I checked,  I was here before you? Why do you want to be stupid this afternoon," he said.

Everybody stared at them without saying anything. They knew how Simi is and wouldn't want to be on her case. Her fights are always entertaining and they were ready to be entertained today.

"Shebi I dey mad... Shebi I dey mad..." She said repeatedly and her voice trailed off.

She was beginning to get on chimaobim's nerves. Ignore her. She is trying to look for trouble. Nothing more, a voice rang in his mind. I'm not ignoring her, he thought furiously and his anger could be shown from his facial expressions.

"Oya, come and fetch, let me see you," she snarled and taunted Chimaobim.

She placed her Keg under the tap, rolled the handle of the pump and water started entering slowly. Chimaobim quickly realized water had been entering her keg after been lost in thoughts for a while.

He angrily grabbed the keg immediately and flung it away, then placed his own keg under the tap and water ran into it. Everybody screamed and were ready for the next actions. Simi ran toward her keg that laid on the floor, and the whole water had poured away.

Amaka was there already and had picked it up.

. "Anything happen to am?" Simi asked.

Her eyes moved to and fro.

"Yes it broke," Amaka said.

"Na that one better. Na you look for trouble first. He first you come," a young lady said.

"You be real mugu," Simi said, pointing at her while she boiled in a rage.

"And you be bigger mugu. Wahala ti po ju. Every time, everywhere, you dey fight. You go soon fight with a spirit" she replied, splattering spits on the lady that stood around her.

"I no get your time," Simi clapped her palms together and walked toward Chimaobim, ignoring her. The lady muttered some words and sat down on the slab she had been sitting on.

Chimaobim had finished fetching water and another person was already fetching from the tap after they waited for Amaka to fetch but she stood still with the broken keg staring at Simi's next move.

Simi grabbed Chimaobim's shirt immediately and pushed him backward. He staggered back, regained his stamina and threw a slap at Simi. The sound sent everybody screaming. Simi threw her first strong punch she normally used to destabilize her opponent and Chimaobim blocked it and sent her a heavy punch. She fell to the ground and stood up bleeding from the edge of her mouth but she wasn't ready to end the fight.
