Liar Liar - Episode 5
I caught A man!
Racheal was one of those who cherished the tranquil that came with the mile river. She was one of those women who was the victim of an abusive marriage so on days like today when the brute of the abuse left a scar on her face, fishing on the coast of the river helped to dispel a little of the anger she felt towards Alfred her husband.
A first class student of Law, beautiful and with a strong family background. It was such a contrast that she had let herself stay in an abusive marriage . One that threatened to claim her life every other week. Did she really love her husband that much? Or did her life mean nothing to her in comparison?
Lost in her righteous soliloquy it took a while before she noticed her fishing line had got hitched to something.
She wiped the tears which had formed race tracks on her face with the back of her palm before attempting to rail in her catch. Fishing here was recreational and you were not permitted to leave with your catch but you could keep them until you were done before throwing it back into the river.
The line was unbelievably heavy. Try as she might she couldn't bring it in. She gave a loud shout to a life guard standing on a Jetty close by and beckoned him over to help her. It took a great deal of effort even with the extra hands for her to finally pull the catch into the boat

. What she saw alarmed her.
"Jesus!!" Racheal scream. "He is a Man. I caught a Man!" She squeaked in fright.
The mouth of the life guard also twitched uncontrollably. The shock he felt was making him numb.
"Lord have mercy! Is He dead" Racheal asked still shaking. "How could there have been a dead body in the river". She only came here to quell her sanity and not to be investigated for murder.
"There might be a pulse but am not sure"
"Then let's get him to the Hospital quick"
It took a lot of minutes before her heavy breaking decrescendoed and her thoughts became rational again.
With help from the life guard, Racheal placed the unconscious body in the back seat of her car and speed off to a nearby clinic.
Author s note; Seems like David isn't dead after all. I wonder how he survived.
