“Nothing man but can you do something for me; reject this offer and I will pay double the amount you requested”

Tony and Fabian looked at him surprised

“Okay five million” Tony say in sarcasm

“Yea, done; will send the money to you later”

“Wait guy relax; do you even know this girl that you are ready to spend this money on” Fabian say patting Chris on the back

“Come on Tony give him a glass, he needs it”

I scratch my head in frustration because I don’t even know how to explain myself to them; I just shrugged and collected the glass of wine from Tony and downed it within a second, I shake my head to reduce the effect….

“No, not that; have to go now talk to you guys later”

They exchanged handshakes and Chris left

Fabian came closer to Tony and they crossed hands

“I feel like Chris has something for this girl in the picture”

“Yea maybe, he seems uncomfortable when he saw the picture; but you know what to avoid the wrath of that lady I have to say nothing of this to her and wait on Chris to know what he is about”

“Yea, that’s cool; brothers’ code”

“Let’s go”

Fabian turned to leave but Tony dragged him back “and where do you think you are going”

“yesss”

“You promised to pay for the drink and now you want to slip away like always”

Fabian laughed out very loud “don’t worry I gaht you bro, have changed”

“you better do”

He paid and they left laughing at their little game

 Bea

I checked the time surprised at how far I have stayed at the office, report came from the Max consultancy that they are ready to start the project and I have to buckle up to meet their demand

I arranged my table, packed my bag and left the office

“Are you going Mah”

I turned startled to see Tristy typing seriously on her system

“you are still here”

“yes Mah, today is Friday and I don’t want to have any leftover job for Monday besides its Friday; I need to parryyyy”

I laughed at her demonstration of party “okay are you done”

“Yes, about to leave”

“Okay then, pack your things lets go together; maybe to your party” I said and gave her a wink

I feel like having her as a friend, I really need a friend now”

Her face lit up at what I said, she packed her things hurriedly and followed me

We entered my car and we drove out with me following her directions

“What exactly are you trying to do”

She smiled and showed me her phone “trying to play a music, this car is so boring”

“Like play music in my car” I ask surprised that someone could ever think of that “how can I be listening to music and driving at the same time”

“Don’t worry, you will like it, it’s fun” she replied and raised the volume to the highest

“Just loosen up Bea and enjoy life”

“Did you just call me Bea”

She closed her mouth with her hands at the realization of what she called me and she stiffened up

I smiled and pat her shoulder “relax, it actually feel good hearing you call me my name with ease”

“Really”

“Yes really”

She smiled broadly and extends her hand

“Friends” she asks

“Nah, you know I am driving; I can’t leave the steering and ……”

She hugged me even before I can complete my sentence

“Its going to be fun” she increased the volume again and started dancing to the beat; looking at her I saw Benita smiling back at me and I smiled back

I joined her in singing the music cus I know it off heart; singing with her gave me so much joy like I always have with Benita, she is indeed more than a secretary

We sang all the way till we got to the place she described “welcome to me aboard” she says getting down

“You mean this is your house”

“Yes my new house, my fiancée got it for me and I am having in house party tonight” she replied dragging me out from the car “my friends will be here very soon and don’t worry about going home we will escort you home if you want or you can sleep over too”

“is that an invitation” I ask with a coy smile

“No its more of …..”

“What”

“anything you call it; come lets go and stop asking questions”

I laughed as I follow her inside; I closed my ear immediately at the loud blast coming out from the sitting room

She rushed and opened my ears “you will get adjusted to it very soon and shake this bum bum biko”

“Ouch” I shout as she smack my butt

“was it painful; I can give you a massage” not waiting for my reply she disappeared inside

I smiled not knowing what to say; I feel like I have been staying with Benita since but I discovered that late

“Benita forgive me for neglecting you” I murmured to myself
