Immy's pov

My heart is aching and I don't know why . I want to believe in my dad but my heart keeps denying and Mr Francis's words keeps reechoing in my head. I couldn't sleep even for an hour and yet I don't feel sleepy. Come take a bite before we leave ,said Vicky. I faked a smile and said am ok let's just go .

We are going to look for Mr Andrew who once dated mom and we are following the address we got from Mr Francis.  We reached the place and we found a very old woman in her eighties if not nineties .  She walked with a bent back but without a walking stick. She was sitting on the veranda with two children a girl who looked to be ten years and a boy who looked three or four years old. We looked at the woman who stood up coming towards us .

You're welcome my granddaughters she said slowly but happily . We all knelt politely and greeted her. She welcomed us and asked us to sit with her on the mat. She then called out and a middle-aged woman came out . She was looking so good ,greeted us as the old woman asked her to bring us tea.

We sat down all in silence not knowing whether we came to the right place untill Nancy said politely . We are sorry to bother you but we are looking for Mr Andrew's location

.  At that time the middle-aged woman was also sitting with and she asked, which Andrew my daughter's. We are sorry madam we don't know his second name but he once worked at the cosmetics company of Mr Abby. I said . The old woman's eyes became wet with tears as she said, you mean my son? How do young girls like know him?  Before we could answer Anna( middle-aged woman) said ,mom look at this girl pointing to me. What's wrong with her asked the old lady. Mom please look at her well she resembles every inch of Evelyn bro Andy wife. On hearing these words a shiver came through my body and my heart was wailing. Yes you're right she does not only resemble her but she's the one during her age. Who are you child? They both asked looking stratin my eyes. Are you the daughter she gave birth to after being raped by that reckless beast Abby.  The old woman said.

At that time I couldn't control my tears anymore. Hearing how everyone calls my dad a beast tore my heart to pieces. Sister imara the little girl who was sitting on the veranda tapped my shoulders and I looked at her. Are you crying because we left you in the village? She asked as tears formed in her eyes.

I didn't know who this girl was and neither did I understand what she meant but her words meant I look like my twin sister. I knew at that instant that my sister is alive and all I wanted to ask was where she was but my lips couldn't let me say a word. I looked at her and I didn't know what to say. She is your sister imarisha and she's mistakening you for your sister imara. We all thought you were dead as that beast of a man spread false rumours. Miss Anna said. Dead I said almost without thinking.  Yes your father told you mom that you died of smallpox .She added. Come here child, said the old woman. I went and sat near her and she said,"even if your mom was raped, my son didn't abandon her and even if I told him a thousand times to get another woman he went behind my back and married your mom two years after you were born and I had no option apart from giving in to his happiness. You look exactly like your mom and your sister. My son died three years ago in an accident and your mother died last month leaving behind these two kids and your sister who remained in the village ". I burst out crying asking why I had to come this late. Only if I came a month earlier I could have seen my mom.

I cried so hardand the lady hugged me so tight. I have never felt like this before. I cried for almost ten minutes while holding onto her so tight. I hurts so much I said as everyone tried to console me. I hated my dad and hated myselfso much. If only I had taken my dreams so serious I could have met my mom and sister long time back.

I asked for my sisters address in the village and they gave it to me. I now have two sisters and and a brother . I longed to see my sister and felt like every second I waited might make me to miss her.

. I thanked them and promised to visit again with my sister whose name is imara. We left and on our way back I told them am leaving for masaka . It was lunch time and my friends decided to go with me to masaka since I was becoming so impatient.

We left for masaka and by evening we had reached to the given address.  OH MY GOODNESS, IMARA WHAT CAME OVER YOU. JUST TWO DAYS IN THE CITY AND YOU CHANGED THAT MUCH ANYWAY WHERE'S MY BRO. A young girl in her twenties said in awe . We all looked dumbfounded on the words only two days in the city. Am not imara, I said as politely as I could. She burst out laughing and then said so you even changed your accent. She's immy said Nancy and We are hear looking for her twin sister imara Vicky added.

She looked at us and then she asked us to follow her.
