~ Nathans point of View~

“Blair, let me in right NOW!” shouted the voice. Trisha.

“Oh no…” I jumped up off the bed and ran to random spots in the room, not knowing what to do.

“What the hell Nathan, you have a fiancé? Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I told you about Kim’s but you couldn’t even mention yours?” Jake complained.

“Not now Jake!” I whispered-yelled so that Trisha couldn’t hear me.

Blair put his hand on my shoulder to stop me from moving. “Nathan, calm down, just talk to her-”

“Are you CRAZY? Not now, I can’t deal with her yet,”

She banged on the door, making it shake . “BLAIR! Let me in!”

“Little pigs, little pigs, let me in…” Jake mumbled.

“Uh, one minute!” Blair replied ignoring Jake and looking around for a place for me to hide.

I ran around the room, looking for all the possible hiding spots where she wouldn’t find me as the door kept vibrating. Closet? Too easy. Cupboard? Too small. Under the bed? Too obvious. Maybe the-

“That’s it, I’m coming in!” I heard keys jingle.

“Oh no…” Blair froze.

I ran out onto the balcony and looked down

. We were 3 stories high, too risky to jump.

I heard Trisha’s key go into the keyhole.

“Nathan, what are you…” Jake watched me looking over the side. “Are you gonna-?”

I jumped over the side of the balcony as the doorknob turned.

“NA-” Blair slapped a hand over Jake’s mouth and then I heard a crash. I heard some rumbling as if there was a struggle.

“Blair Get off m-”

The door suddenly opened and I could hear Trisha’s high heels click onto the apartment floor. Everything went silent.

I was hanging onto the bars of the balcony, holding my breath in the silence. Just as I was about to risk peeking through the bars, I heard Trisha’s voice.

“Blair?” Trisha’s voice went into an awkward tone. “Am I… interrupting something?”

I raised my head. Out of all the things to shut Jake up, Blair chose to fall on him. Especially in that awkward position; Jake’s back was on the ground and his hand was holding Blair’s hand, probably when Blair put it over Jakes mouth. Blair was on top, his left leg between Jake’s legs and his left hand just above Jakes shoulder. It somehow reminded me of Daniel and Peter when I walked in on them one time. I shivered just thinking about it.

“Oh, uh… This is… Is…” Blair stuttered, trying to figure out what he should say.

“I’m Jake, his-”

“BOYFRIEND.”

I almost let go of the balcony bars. Boyfriend? I guess if he said friend Trisha wouldn’t believe it since he’s on top of Jake right now…

“I knew you had some issues but I thought you were at least straight!” Trisha exclaimed.

“Yeah, I thought so too…” Jake grumbled. I heard shuffling as the two of them got up.

“Anyways, now that we’ve um… caught up a bit, where’s Nathan? ” Trisha asked.

“You just missed him, he had to go somewhere. I don’t know where though, sorry,” Blair stated casually.

“Oh I’m so sure. Nathan, where are you? Get out here!” she called. I heard doors opening and closing. I peeked through the bars to see her back to me, looking in the closet. She was wearing high heels, blue skinny jeans, and a flowing yellow spaghetti-strapped top. Her curly blonde hair fell down her back. I quickly ducked as she turned around.

“I told you he’s not in here,” Blair said, following her around the room.

“Ugh, you should clean under your bed sometime, it’s disgusting,” I heard her high heels clicking, coming closer and closer to the balcony until she stood right over me. I could see the top of her head looking out over the front of the balcony. I held my breath.

“If he’s not here, where would he be?” she asked, gazing out at the city below her.

Blair looked over the side of the balcony and almost gasped when he saw me. His eyes widened and he quickly grabbed Trisha’s arm.

“I have no idea, but it’s freezing out here. Let’s go inside!” he pulled her back into the room and was about to close the door when Trisha stopped him.

“It’s not that cold, leave the door open at least. You need some fresh air in here.”

I breathed a sigh of relief as I heard her heels click-clacking in the opposite direction.

Suddenly I heard another door open. I looked behind me to see the same old man from the park with a watering can. Of course he had to live right next door.

“Heeey sonny, that’s dangerous!” he said slowly.

“Shhhh! Quiet old man, I’m hiding,” I whispered.

“Youth these days…” he walked over to the pots on his balcony and began watering them. “There you go, drink up that water! Plants gotta be strong to survive the winter,”

It took a lot of effort not to tell him that there were no plants growing inside those pots since they were covered in layers of ice.

“…so give him these, alright?” Trisha was saying. Something fell on the table and I heard the door knob turn.

“Alright, bye Trisha,” Blair said. The door opened and closed. A moment later, both of them came running to the balcony.

“Here, give me your hand,” Blair said, reaching for me. I ignored him and hoisted myself back onto the balcony. My arms were killing from holding on for so long.

“That was risky, you could’ve fell and died,” Jake said.

I heard a laugh. I glanced at the old man who was grinning to himself, then looked back at the others.

“…Let’s go inside.”

We went in and I closed the door behind me. “So what’d she want to give to me?”

Blair walked over to the table and threw one of the cards at me. I opened it and skimmed through it.

“It seems Trisha is inviting us to go to some Cruise ship together,” I sighed. I looked at bottom of the card where it shows Trisha’s neat hand writing. I felt anxiety fill my body.

“Be there, because I know Kim will,” I read aloud.

“What?” both Blair and Jake exclaimed. I looked at table. Another card laid out for Blair. Shes assembling the family. No, not jut the family… but the drama as well. Just what exactlly is Trisha planning?

Igwe, it would have been better you told us to watch out for the part 2 of the story (that is if it has any) just like Helen has said rather than just ending a very interesting story like this. But if actually this is the end, then it means the story don't make sense for it to end this way, or it means you don't know how to conclude a very beautiful story.
