Ichabod - Episode 21

When he finally brought her down.  Tracy turned to hug him tightly....

“Thank you so much dear beast...you are the best...I love you...” She said, kissing him on the forehead.

‘Tracy!”

 Tracy looked up only to see her mother smiling and running towards them...

“Mum!” She cried for joy and ran towards  Harmony who was finding her way through the crowd....

“I saw you up dear, you looked so beautiful...you are beautiful. I am so proud of you...”

“Mum did you see Ichabod! He was so good....”

“Yes darling I saw him, I saw you too. I am so proud of you.” Harmony said, showering her daughter with kisses before standing up to see Ichabod but then he was gone.

“He was just here… where did he go?” Tracy asked her mum, a little bit disappointed that her beast was gone. Harmony couldn’t understand as well.

“Come on darling, maybe he needed to remove his costume.” She said, taking her daughter by the hand and leading her towards the car but little Tracy kept looking back, surprised that her beast was gone in a flash…

Odin was behind a tree that was very far away from everyone else. Even though it was still within the school premises, it was situated in the shadows, far away from the surrounding lights

He winced in pain as he realized he was changing back to Ichabod…the bones of his body contrasted, sending Ichabod an agonizing pain as he regained his composure. He checked his hand and realized his nails were gone and so were his fangs. What happened to Odin? This was so strange. He could have changed right there in front of Harmony and Tracy, thankfully Odin was fast enough to sense that something had happened.

His phone rang all of a sudden and he realized it was Harmony. He sighed. It was still like an hour and some minutes before 12, there was still time.

Sorry Odin. I don’t know what happened! He said before walking back to where he had come from, he could sense Odin groaning and he knew that he was seriously pissed. Something had happened to him  and Ichabod had no idea what it was.

He stood by the door, watching as Harmony kissed her sleeping daughter goodnight. Tracy slept off while still in her costume and holding the wand. She was really excited and exhausted. She slept off before they finally got home.

“Okay, shall we?” She said quietly before they both walked out of the room while closing the door softly.

“So, you saved the day Ichabod. What do I owe you?” She asked while they walked down the corridor.

Ichabod smiled with a shrug. “I made a little girl happy. What is there to owe?”

“That little girl is not your responsibility and how you did it? I still find it unbelievable. Where did you get that costume from?” She asked, stopping to look at him with a mischievous smile. “Did you know that Michael was never going to show up or what?”

Ichabod shrugged, “no, I didn’t know he wasn’t going to show up and….” He chuckled and stopped when he saw the ‘really?’ look on Harmony’s face. ‘Ok, the guy is like…what that word…a douchebag…is”

Harmony burst into laughter. “Are you serious?”

“Yea, you know what I’m talking about.”

She smiled, walked to the bar and poured the both of them a drink. “Yea, I do.” She replied, passing him his cup. They both sat on a stool. “She kept talking about how Ichabod’s beast is the best beast ever.” She said, laughing aloud but Ichabod only chuckled.
“Thought you were supposed to talk with your net-something guy. What happened?”

She chuckled. “Netflix…well, yea, I couldn’t concentrate.

. I couldn’t stop thinking what would happen if you didn’t find her. So I had to come. But imagine my surprise when I saw you lifted her up and the whole people cheered…I was….” She sighed with a smile and took more of her drink. “I have never seen her that happy.” She said quietly, looking at him. Then she raised her cup. “To the best beast ever!” She announced.

Ichabod smiled and raised his, “To …Odin.”

Harmony looked surprised, “Odin? Your costume has a name?”

He nodded. “Yea he does.”

“Well then to Odin.” She replied touching her cup to his before they both gulped down their drink.

Ichabod was enjoying this moment. They were sitting so close together at the bar with their knees almost touching.

 “You know, no one has ever done what you did for us tonight Ichabod.” She said after a while, looking straight at him. “Thank you.” She said, smiling and looking into his ocean blue eyes.

Ichabod managed a smile, they were looking at each other and he could see the way she was looking at him…he knew that look. Denis had that hungry look on her face on the night of her wedding…then he felt…wow, was that her hand on his laps? His heart was racing so fast and his palm was sweaty….he could see her parted lips, he knew what this meant. He drew closer to her, so close that he could feel her breath over his face… he could perceive the delicious smell of the alcoholic wine in the scent of her breath, both their hearts were beating simultaneously as if they were both part of a puzzle piece…she closed her eyes…just as he parted his own lips….he could feel his fangs coming out…no no…his nails twitched and he knew what was happening…it was 12 midnight!
