Happy Never After - Episode 23
Alicia could hardly breathe where she crouched. She could feel a pee coming.
“Now, Alicia, I thought you could be smarter at least,” his voice rang out. “I couldn’t believe you would even come back here after making a run for it! How could you be so stupid?” he said.
Alicia swallowed. They could hear him moving around the house . This time, he seemed to have left the sitting room.
“You need to go,” Hannah said quietly to her.
“I can’t leave you,” she whispered back.
“You have to leave, or both of us will be dead,” the woman said.
“You know, things could have been really good between us, if not for your stupid curiosity. Don’t you know what they say killed the cat?” David’s voice rang out.
He was still somewhere above them.
“And sincerely, you had to fall in love with a man you have never met? How could you be so lame? Fabian tried to warn you but oops! I had to get rid of him as well. Poor boy, his body should be at the bottom of the lake…”
Alicia whimpered, her heart sank as she heard this. No wonder they never found his body.
“So I had to bring his phone with me, to keep tabs on you. I knew you would do something stupid.

He was quiet for a while.
“You need to leave,” Hannah said again.
“But he will kill you,” she replied.
There is an opening at the back; it leads to the kitchen, let him get closer, then you can run..”
“Don’t you even wonder about what must have happened to that blind woman who would never mind her own business?” his voice rang out again, this time, he was closer.
Alicia inhaled as she realized that he must have killed the woman too.
“Well, you guessed right. I killed her, with her boy. I didn’t want anyone to mess up my plan. I am just this close to getting everything I want….”
Alicia could hear his voice getting closer, fear gripped her.
“Go,” Hannah ordered.
Quickly, she walked towards the place Hannah pointed. She could see a little opening and she took it. She was faced with a flight of stairs. She looked behind her at Hannah who stood up from her seat. She found a wrench of the floor and took it.
Alicia gave her a questioning look.
Hannah dramatized that she was going to hit him with it….
Alicia inhaled. She really wished she could help the woman but all of a sudden, David began to shake the door violently….thankfully, she had bolted it…he couldn’t open it easily.
On second thought, Alicia ran back and grabbed Hannah.
“Fabian is dead cos of me, I won’t be able to live if I can’t at least try and save you too, come on…”
She supported the woman towards the opening….by the time they got there, David was hitting the door with something heavy…
They were now on the stairs and he was beginning to tear down the door. There was already an opening where he dipped his hand but the hole wasn’t big enough.
“Go, go…” Alicia said to Hannah who climbed the stairs with difficulty….but then waited, realizing David was no longer trying to open the door. Perhaps, he realized they were taking the other end.
“Wait,” she whispered to Hannah who stopped and looked behind her.
She waited and listened.
She could hear the gate opening…and she gasped in horror…
“What is it?” Hannah asked.
“My sister, I think she’s around…”

I was hoping Fabian didn't die.
