Eve - Episode 15
Eve sat on her bed brushing her vessels hair quietly waiting for Mumiyo to say something but she just hung her head even after she had followed me from the hall all the way to the room.
"Why this disturbing silence" Ogun interjected after a long pause.
"Let's ask Mumiyo" Eve carefully placed the brush down and looked at her for the first time since entering the room.
"It's not what you think" Mumiyo spoke at last
"And what is that?" Eve asked rather bemused at that statement. It's not like she cared but the fact that she was getting attached to the human was all it took to make her want to know if she was the one who betrayed her vessel.
"It's not a crime I committed" she paused watching for Eve's reaction and when she gave none she continued "my parents wanted the throne so they deviced so many plans that even inclued the killing of the current king, the brother of my father . He was enraged that my grandfather gave the throne to his younger brother instead of him, after all he was the first born and the rightful heir" she took another pause as she looked to Eve and Ogun before lowering her head "and when I refused in their plans they got angry and found different kind of ways to punish me" Mumiyo shuddered at the thought "so I decided to stay amongst them regretting what kind of parents I had but when it came to killing my uncle; your father, I couldn't watch any longer so in the middle of the night I found a way to send a note to the king not to eat any of the food served in that day and they should search the house of my father where I kept the poison bottle in sight and fortunately for me the king banished them and kept me in the palace saying I was innocent of the crime since I was just 7 years" she began to weep.
"So if I did hate you as Bimbo said weren't you suspicious?"
I was but I didn't mind it if I had a friend. I'm sorry if you felt I used you although..." wiping off her tears to face Eve.
"Shokè will never be friendly with me in the midst of people or even talk back to our aunt"
Eve couldnt help the smile that crept up her face.
"Who are you?"
