They were all fed up during the journey because ayawa (maryam's driver) didn't seize the opportunity to speak on any little thing he sees. It got to a point were mufeedat would shout at him, hoping he would stop his rant. But that only increased it. They were just eager to reach Abuja. Maryam said nothing to him because she was already used to it, he does that whenever he drives her to school so it wasn't a big deal to her.

It was around 6:30pm that the girls arrived at their school in Abuja, both happy that they made it in time.

"You can go and logde in baba's hotel in Area 10 garki, I've spoken to the manager already, you can come and pick us up tomorrow by 9:00am, we are sleeping in the hostel" Maryam said to ayawa, his gaze fixed on mufeedat.

Mufeedat gave him a disgusting look, screening him from head to toe. Ayawa is short, black, skinny but has a protuberant belly and a mountain like head which made him look like someone suffering from kwashiorkor . She just couldn't believe herself, this guy, crushing on her, subhanallah, Allah ya kiyaye..

. The last time I was there, when alhaji travelled to Qatar, I even went to their gym, swimming pool, club, I even had a hair cut there, including a massage, played long tennis, basket ball, snooker, Video games, they even have the latest Xbox and Play station uno" Ayawa kept blabbering not lifting his gaze from mufeedat.

"Are you leaving or you want her me to change my mind?, why can't you keep shut for a minute ayawa?, I think you enjoy sleeping in car right?, no problem I'll call the manager and tell him" Maryam spoke, knowing fully he will keep shut for he loves sleeping in the hotel.

"I'm sorry hajiya, but please don't change your mind, I'm already leaving" ayawa replied and left hurriedly for he knew alot of words from him can easily make her change her mind.

"I despuseThe two girls headed for the hostel, where they were to meet other girls and change into the gown.

The hall was beautifully decorated, with music booming the hall, some were busy exchanging pleasantries, some were waiting for their dates, while some were already on the dance floor dancing with their dates. Aleeyu was all alone waiting for his maryam, he wondered what kept her so long. The program was scheduled to start by 9:00pm, it's already 9:10pm and she isn't here. He was still thinking when the door to the hall creaked ajar. Lo and behold, comes his princess, his queen, the one that extinguish the fire in his heart, the girl he would sacrifice his life for, the girl that stood by him in during hard times, the girl he loves with all the fibre in his being, his maryam, his world. His mouth was opened agape, He was mesmerized by her immense beauty, the gown contributed alot to that. The music halted, jolting him out of the reverie, he didn't know when his legs took him to her. His mouth couldn't outer any words as he was astonished by the beautify that stood before him, not that she wasn't beautiful before, but today's beauty was different.

"Hello dear" Maryam spoke, seeing how he couldn't take his eyes off her. She didn't fail to notice how dazzling he looked.

"Hey, pardon my manners, I can't just fathom the beauty before me, you look like someone imported from planet mars, because your beauty defies earthly comprehension, you glitter as if you're a goddess of sun, your nose is a properly designed feminine version of pinnochio, your colour and facial curvature is a blend of Caribbean, Hispanic and fulani attributes" he complimented her beauty with full enthusiasm. Maryam couldn't help but to cover her face in her palms shyly, blushing all through. One thing maryam loves about him was that he knew all ways to make her happy, she prays he be her husband someday.

"You and this your talks, you never seize to amaze me uno, you always make sure I think of no one but you". Maryam spoke elegantly.

"I have to keep my treasure safe uno" he chuckled. "Shall we? The program is about to start" He said bringing forward his hand for her grasp. She held his hand and together to motioned to where their mates are as the happy couples they are to be.
