"Papa Papa Papa" Princewill called out to his father as he dashed towards the shop where his father earned his daily living. He ran with a paper in hand shouting at the top of his voice, excitement bubbling forth from within him.
"What is it? Who is pursuing you?" His father asked as he rushed out of his shop, Mazi as he was popularly called would not mind fighting whatever chased his young son.
He stopped abruptly on reaching his father panting like a man been chased by a hungry lion.
"Prince what is it? Is anyone after you? Why are you shouting my name at the top of your voice?" Mazi asked yet again.
Princewill bent down resting both palms on his knees still trying to catch his breath, panting and unable to speak, he simply raised the paper handing it to his father which he collected.

. Not able to read it properly, he removed his glasses from his breast pocket and read through the now rumpled paper . Princewill stood now waiting to see his fathers reaction after going through the paper and even he did not exactly expect his father's next move, with one hand his father lifted him high up, shouting excitedly, hugging him
"Everybody come come o my Prince has done it o my Prince has gotten admitted o" he shouted to his neighbors with all excitement.
"In fact, Chukudi give every body free drinks let them celebrate with me, my son is going to be a pharmacist" he ordered the boy that he trained in his line of business. Today was indeed a day of joy for him and his entire family as evident by the dancing moves of his wife when she got the news the eve of that day.

. After finding his way to Jos, he settled down with a relative to learn a trade, he was but a young boy then, nineteen to be precise, he learnt well and was loved by his master for his intelligence and ability to grasp the business with ease. All was going well and he was just about to be settled, to be a man of his own and start his own business when the civil war erupted.
Tension filled the land but the city of Jos was relatively calm at that moment. It was literally the countries middle belt where the two major religious groups in the country co-habitated in tolerance of each other but as the days turned into weeks the war got bigger, deadlier.
The city of Jos became a death zone for Igbo Nigerians that were targeted and hunted down, butchered and designed with machetes by other indigenous Nigerians and that was when Ndubisi had to escape for his life with the help of the foreign missionaries. Loosing everything and seeing so much horror, the loss of the properties and lives of his brothers and his passion to help the cause of his endangered people he joined the war and fought along his compatriots.
For three years the war lasted, wrecking the country, after the war life was slow and miserably difficult but with time the troubled giant gradually came back to normal life with the government preaching peace and reconciliation. After some years Ndubisi Collins Amadi found his way back to Jos and this time ventured into a new business where he sold soft drinks at first due to Muslim influence but gradually also added alcoholic beverage.
As the years gently rolled by, life got easier for Collins, he always felt like a blessed man or maybe he was actually a blessed man, his business grew, his hard work and intelligence paid as he made wise business decisions that put him where he is now. He had grown to be the second largest distributor of drinks in the Plateau and other middle belt states he even had a couple of warehouses to his name. Most importantly he was blessed with a wife that loved and adored him and also blessed with four lovely children, the first been a girl recently married and now residing outside the shores of the country with her husband, the second, his first son been Nnamdi that was trouble to his neck for his strange ways and the third was Chika his second daughter that was about to graduate as a nurse but his favorite child was Princewill the last of his children, a boy he dearly loved and cherished. Ndubisi Collins Amadi was a naturally intelligent man but unfortunately was not privileged to acquire educational qualifications for himself, a regret he vowed he would not let repeat in his children and so was ready to spend his last dime to see they are properly educated.
