I called Vera's number several times but she wasn't picking up, I was getting impatient .

I went out and bothered a taxi to their house, in the car I heard the radio proclaiming a news...

"Nancy the daughter of our famous minister James, dances joyfully on her sister's birthday as her boyfriend who happens to be her driver proposed to her" .

I was happy to hear that but part of the news lifted me in a dilemma, maybe the news presenter made a mistake with the names because I proposed to Vera not Nancy.

The taxi dropped me at Mr. James house, when I got to the compound there was silence everywhere and his guards were not there, that means he wasn't back from his trip.

One of the maids came to me.

"madam needs you in her room" she said

I fellowed her as she directed me to her room, I came there because of Vera but I have to hear what my madam have to tell me.

When I entered into her room she was busily going through some papers, I greeted but she didn't respond.

She closed the papers and walked to me, she got closer to me and wrapped her hands around my neck.

I was surprised of her reaction because the Nancy I know won't allow me into room let alone holding me seductively.

"Thank you for yesterday" she said still holding my neck as she drew her finger on my chest.

Is she thanking me for proposing to her sister??? I asked myself.

I was speechless didn't know what to do

"When is our marriage??" she asked after releasing me from her hold.

"After I have gathered enough money" I said, I knew she was referring to the marriage between her Sis and I.

"I have enough money for our marriage you don't need to worry" she said

"My Sister doesn't love you as I speak to you she is with her boyfriend.

Let get married and I will make you rich overnight ." She added

"I hope you have seen this", she' showed me a video from her phone

I was shock to see myself and Nancy kissing on the stage.

" What is this,

"You proposed to me yesterday and we are getting married next week she said.

Oh! my God, what have you done, I held her by the neck as I pull her to the wall

" You drunk me and made me propose to you, you will pay for this Nancy."

I strangled her but she showed no sign of remorse, she was as if she is resistant to pain.

I released her from my hold and run out of her room to Vera's room, I knocked at her door severally but there was silence.

"She traveled "one of the maids said as she passed by to her room.

I wanted to asked her of where she has gone to but she had already left

I bothered a car home, while in the car I visited the Internet to watch the video again, this time it was clearer and real.

She traveled because of what happened yesterday, how will I findd her??

Her number is unavailable.

"Sir we've been followed" . the taxi driver said.

I turned and saw a black car fellowing us, in the car was two men.

"Have you done something wrong to them,?? they started fellowing as from the house I picked you" the driver said

"I don't know them, just keep on driving make sure we don't get caught" .

The driver stepped harder on the accelerator but their car was faster then ours.

"They are getting closer, turn to the junction ahead.

" Move faster come on if I get caught we both go down together " I shouted on him.

I turned and see there was a wide gap between theirs and us but they haven't given up on us they were still following us.

"what is it? move faster they are getting closer but our car suddenly stopped i jumped out of the car and run through a path into a bush, I heard footsteps at my back and that was the driver.

We run for almost three hours in the bush thinking the people had stop following us so we went and sat under a tree resting when I heard footsteps approaching.

"We need to hide" I said to the driver, I was tired to continue running.

We tiptoe gently to a corner with huge trees which has been covered with weeds.

I heard our followers steps getting more closer, I peeped through a small hole between the leaves and saw two men

. One holding a gun they scanned through the bush in search of us, the other guy holding the gun started working to the direction we were hiding. He moved closer and closer to us.

He raised the gun and pointed it to our direction, the scariest thing in life is when you've seen your are about to die and you can't do anything about it. I started to say my last prayer I opened my eyes and saw the driver still watching the man, I taped him quietly.

"Won't you say your last prayer" I said to him and he sigh

He almost pulled the trigger when the other guy shouted

"Guy let's go" .

"We lost them" he said as they walked back.

I thought he saw us, not knowing he was just practicing how he will shoot when he found us.

We watch them as they departed, we came out of our hide out. I bowed holding my knees as I pant.

I don't know where my soul will be landed by now, maybe in the grave shouting for help.

I was still confused of what just happened, why were they chasing us.?

Who sent them?? They began chasing us from Mr. James house which means Nancy sent them, this lady is crossing her limit.

"We need to go, the driver said..

We walked for almost two hours in the bush before we finally found our way to a road. We took a taxi to where we lifted the car and his car was in the same position we lifted it. The taxi driver entered into his car after I dashed him some amount, I also took a different car to my house.

When I got to the house Joe.B was at my house..

" Where have you been?? I tried calling you but unavailable. He said,

I brought out the phone from my pocket and it was off.

" Where is mum??

"She wasn't here when I came"

I run to her room and saw the flower pot and her phone scattered on the floor.

" Mum has been kidnapped" I took my phone and called Benjamin.

Benjamin, where are you.

"I am in the house, is there any problem??.

Mother...

What is wrong with her...
