Broken sisters - Episode 1

 

I was having a bad week, or should I say the worst week ever I couldn't believe it, I just got fired from my job. I've being working for this old man all my life even though am just  25 years at least 3 years should have meant something well it didn't. Earlier this week my boyfriend broke up with me and by next week I will be looking for a new job seems like nature has decided to punish me. Everything I called good had already left me or was leaving me and then I saw him well not actually see him. I walked into a bar to get a drink go home and sleep over my sorrows when I hit his right foot and was falling fast he caught me so fast before I could get to the ground I didn't notice until I landed on his firm hand. Quickly I regained myself and said am really sorry and went straight to get my drink. This was not the kind of drink I wanted to have a non stop talking bartender a couple or whatever kissing like they were in their own private show and Him, how stupid am i? I don't know his name but I'm already feeling so uncomfortable "bad day?" I heard someone say beside me. I remembered the voice and Its the handsome guy I stumbled on while walking.

Not really it's just one of the days of a bad week. I said.. "you couldn't imagine what we have in common.. I'm jack by the way" he said. I didn't wait for him to finish when I said "I'm Claire. We both chatted for hours discussing about our week and how everything just blew up around us and then he asked the question.. something I have being waiting to hear all through the discussion until now "will you be free this weekend?" 

Claire:
Yeah I will.. afterall I'm jobless now.

Jack:
Ok then will call you.
And then he kissed my cheek I could feel the shiver going down my spine as I watched him leave I guess I can finally say TGIF. The thought of Jack filled my head and heart as I went home that day i couldn't help but think of all the good possible futures, how he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend and how I was going to respond I kept blushing to myself like a high school teen, I didn't notice when my sister Sonia came in. Neither did I notice when she said "Some one is smiling sheepishly today.. did Daniel apologise?" .

Sonia:
Hey.. hey.. (she shouted).

Claire:
Oh Sonia when did you come?

The kind of look she gave me made me know it was quite a while so I didn't wait for another gesture to say 

Sorry what were you saying?

Sonia:
Who is the guy? And how did you meet him? 

Claire
We met at a bar today.

I could clearly see the surprise in Sonia's face when she heard me say we met at a bar

Sonia
Wait wait wait.. you met him at a bar today and you are turning all red already?

I couldn't help but just nod as she turned from surprised to anger
 
Sonia(continues)
Are kidding me right now? Did Daniel not teach you a lesson you knew the bastard for seven years and yet he dumped you like a street whore all because of some rich bitch. And that was Monday. Fucking Monday! c'mon girl you know this shit ain't love you just trying to get away from Daniel face it and move on stop deceiving yourself. 

Sonia kept talking as though she was my mom but I already stopped listening when she first mentioned Daniel I couldn't hear her anymore not like it ever mattered but maybe she was just feeling bad she introduced us (me and Daniel) to the rich girl. Sonia was still talking when I stood up and walked straight to my room. I just laid on my bed with conflicting thought rising through my head asking myself was Sonia right am I really hiding from my feelings could it be? But still he made an 8 out of 10 in my check list. His nice British accent, his well built body with no doubt six packs, he is fair, he doesn't wear suit, He is funny and lots more not included in my list. when all this thought was about to take hold of me a text came in I rushed my phone and it was my precious Jack he sent me a good night message one thing Daniel was never good at. 
It was Saturday day and everything went so fast that day as I sat down watching a movie and eagerly waiting for Jack's call he then texted me to meet him up at a restaurant uptown I quickly showered and rushed out without letting Sonia know we're I was headed but no matter how fast the taxi moved it wasn't fast enough for me. I finally got there and Jack was out there waiting for me. He opened the door of the taxi and the first words out of his mouth was "wow .. you look amazing". I smiled softly and we held hands and walked in. When we got in I couldn't help but notice how expensive the people there dressed so I asked "I'm sorry Jack were do you work again." 

Jack
I own great magazines also a major investor in microsoft. 

I couldn't believe it that made him a 9 out of 10 in my check list discussion went on for some time when he dropped a small box on the table 

Jack
Claire we might have known each other just yesterday but it feels like I already know you all my life I must confess even as a guy I do have a list of things I which my wife could have and you made a perfect score so I don't want to waste anytime at all marry me

Oh my God is this really happening I said with joy I jumped and said yes yes I will marry you.

He sent his driver home so we could have a romantic walk just as we were about to kiss good bye Sonia opens the door and sees jack.
