Best Friend - Episode 16
Six months had passed, since the last time I spoke to Paris or rather since the last time I had my face disfigured by her bodyguard. I would watch the news every night to see if she would come up, life was slow and boring.
I tried to reach her so many times but to no avail, I even begged Tunde to talk to her for me, still no avail and the fool would not let me have her number saying she would be mad at him. Mrs Adebayo did give me her contact but after the first call it still blew in my face.
I wonder what Paris would think of me, did she even for once think about why I would throw punches at Kunle, I guess he just filled her head with more lies.
Kunle was nowhere to be found, he had resigned the next day after our fight and probably left town.
I checked up on Paris mum every week, spending quality time with her, today I explained everything to her. She was silent, almost in tears when she stood up, went to her room and came back with her tab, showing me the picture of a designed wedding card. The device fell of my hand when I saw the name Babatunde Kunle Babatunde.
My head was spinning, my throat dried up, hot tears filled my eyes as I ran out of the house. The date was in three weeks time and the venue was in Nigeria.
I decided not to say a word to Dustan for he would talk me out of my next plan
