"You have to arrest her too! She hit me on my head.. With a mallet!" Edward is screaming and I just watch him with dead eyes from where I'm standing, hugging Aroos.

My sister is shaking so much, I stroke her hair out of her eyes as she tries to explain how Edward harrased her.

Kane is standing behind me, a silent sentinel and I vaguely wonder what he's still doing here.

I can see his car on the curb, why isn't he driving away?

I don't ask this questions, I just settle my eyes on the officers and Edward.

His friends have already being hauled in the vehicle for questioning.

"You have to arrest her.. Them!"

The police just turns to us.

"You have to come down to the station to make a statement" I nod.

And they drive off with Edward.

I turn to Kane.

"You've been very helpful today Mr . Kane, im sorry for the stress, have a good evening" I say, turning my back to dismiss him. My foot, the one I twisted when Edward pushed me, the bad one cries out as I turn, I ignore it, just as I ignore the look on Kane's face.

This is none of his problems, he has done more than enough as is.

A tug on my t-shirt gets me to turn.

He gestures toward the car before opening the back seat.

I look at him and he watches me too, waiting.

I feel Aroos still shaking, it'd be better if we can just get this done, if he wants to lend me his car, then it's fine by me.

I gently lead Aroos to the car and she enters clinging to me, Kane follows, the driver revs the car, following the police cruiser.

I don't say a word, just gently stroke Aroos as I pull up Anaya's contact.

"What?" She says by way of greeting, her voice filling the interior of the car.

"Get Aroofa and come to the station" I say quietly, she pauses.

"Why?"

"Just do it Anaya"

"Why?"

"Edward showed up at Aroos's working place"

She growls, cussing so profusely that I blush, I glance at Kane, he makes no move that he heard any of what she said.

"Fine, I'm on my way, send me address" she says.

"Anaya?.." I.

. Call, she doesn't say a word but I know she's listening.

"Take care of Aroofa" I say and she understands what I mean before ending the call.

Aroofa can be fragile, very very so, she doesn't handle stress well.

I open my mouth to thank Kane again when the car comes to a stop.

The driver is there, opening the door.

"Talk to me" A voice growls as we exit the car, Aroos whimpers.

I refuse to think of the fact that my sister hasn't said a word since

. I hope she is fine.

"Miss Anadia, this is my brother, Cash King, he's my personal lawyer and he will be helping you today" My eyes fly to his. ( who names their kid Cash? Cash and Caspian?)

Even Aroos slowly lifts her head, she stiffens when she sees who she has been in a car with.

"What?" I echo.

"Why don't we go inside? please allow me to advise you on any question you might find hard to answer" He says, his tone indifferent but his eyes very cold.

I begin to shake my head.

"Is there a problem Miss Anadia?" Kane asks.

"Please, you can call me Anadia, and we don't need favors, it is fine by me if you leave now, I can take it from here" I say and he blinks, slow, the only sign of surprise he's showing.

What does he have to be surprised about? Did he really expect that I would accept the pity he's handing out? Really?

I stir Aroos away from them, limping softly, before going inside the station.

We get led to a middle aged cop who looks kind as he gently asks questions about the incident.

Aroos answers in a strong voice, albeit a little shaky.

After he is done taking statements he turns to me.

"We got CCTV footage from the store, Edward is saying he will sue for damages done to his body" He says, sympathetically.

"What? Can he do that?" I ask.

"I'm afraid so madam" The man says before pointing to a part of the station where Edward is seating, his eyes on Aroos, a man is talking to him.

"That's him and his lawyer, we can settle this here, you just have to call in your lawyer, no need to take this to a court" The officer says again and Aroos turns to look at me.

"Anadia?" Aroofa says, and I turn to look behind me, Anaya and Aroofa are there, from their grave expression they heard what the officer said, they know we don't  a lawyer and we can't afford one.

"Cash King, these are my clients, I would appreciate if we go over this settlement as soon as possible, as you can see my client need all the care she requires right now" A smooth voice says from behind me and I turn, Anaya stiffens, her eyes flying to me, Aroofa looks confused. They didn't leave, I had thought they would after I literally ask them to get lost earlier.

The officer looks at me before looking at Mr. Cash, a different kind of respect on his face.

Edward's lawyer steps forward and he exchanges cards with Cash.

I can see Kane from my peripheral vision, sitting and watching us, looking bored as hell. Besides him are Anaya and Aroofa, Aroofa seems keen to touch him to see if he's actually real.

The process begins smoothly, with only the mention of Edward asking for compensation marring it.

"It is to my knowledge that your client assaulted mine, sprained her ankle.." Cash says, pointing to my throbbing foot.  ".. Emotionally abused my client and caused a ruckus in her working place, you will be better off asking for forgiveness than compensation "Cash says, his voice cold and bored, laying testament that he could probably do this in his sleep.

Edwards lawyer splutters, I glance at Edward and he's watching Aroos creepily, I hiss at him, pulling Aroos to me.

" I would appreciate it if your client remains a modicum of civility between us" Edward's lawyer says, snidely, the bastard.

Couldn't he see the way Edward is watching Aroos? Doesn't he have a daughter? How would he feel if this happens to his daughter? Or sister?

Cash seems to realize something because he sits up, folding his hand atop the table before opening his mouth. The police officer just watches us.

From there on I realize he has really been holding back, he must have realized that Edward and his lawyer has no plans of settling this amicably or anytime soon.

"Mr. Park, your client posted incriminating photos of my client on social media, came into her work, a safe place for her and made that place unsafe, beat around her sister, scared an employee, sprained the ankle of said sister and threatened to kill my client, all this we have on camera, my client acted out In self defense against a bastard, we have eye witness willing to testify.. Do you really want to take this to court with me? Or do you still really need that compensation you are asking for?" Cash asks, with deadly calm.

Edwards lawyer gulps, even Edward stops looking at Aroos enough to stare at Cash

It's then that I understand the that there is a difference between being rich and being rich.

Edward might be rich enough to hire a lawyer, But Cash is rich enough to bury both Edward and his lawyer.

My eyes lift and it snags on Kane, he's been watching me, all this time. He tilts his head in that predatory way he did that night and I gulp slowly.

He's watching me and even when I look away I still feel his eyes on me.
