KELSEY'S POV

Where do i start from?

my name is kelsey williams, I am 24 years old, i am from a family of 3; my mum, my dad and I. I graduated from the university of abuja with a first class in business administration. I have been working for ROBBINSONS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED. I think that's everything you'all need to know...oh! lest I forget...I am not single . I am in a relationship with my one and only crush; JACK FINELO. He's into wildlife photography...he also take contracts from few celebrities..he travels alot for these contracts and i hardly see him...i know he loves me for sure; he doesn't just show it. he's a tall, slim and handsome man. he takes his career with seriousness...I am sure he's trying his best to secure our future. Even though I earn more than he does, I do not show it, I send money to him, take him out and shower him with a lot of gifts....he has been so nervous lately when we talk, I researched online for what may cause a man's nervousness...then i came up with an answer that..HE'S ABOUT TO PROPOSE..

I immediately smiled at the thought as I gave him a call.

hey honey; I said with excitement

hi; he replied.

I was wondering if we can go out today, I heard that there is a newly opened five star restaurant in the next estate, and I heard that celebrities go there to eat, don't worry, all bills on me.

Wow!; that's nice kelsey, pick me up by 7pm; he said and hung up.

I sighed...he must be really tired from work, well, I know i'd spend a lot at that restaurant tonight....but I don't care...I am sure he's gonna pop the question tonight.

THREE HOURS LATER

I got dressed in a free red jumpsuit.....sliver sandals and silver purse, i packed my hair up in a tight ponytail as jack likes it...even though it was making my edges painful..i didn't careless...so far he likes it.

I grabbed the key to my toyota camry and dashed outta the house.

I went over to his apartment to pick him up, the journey to the restaurant was silent, I try to crack a couple of jokes but he didn't even laugh.....hmm, the pressure of proposing must be really getting to him.

we entered the big restaurant and took a seat at the left side of the interior, a waiter came and gave us the menu...i watched as jack ordered the most expensive dishes on the menu...i manage to force out a smile....it is worth it, i kept saying to myself.

The waiter brought our food and drink, and i kept bringing up a conversation, even though he was making everything boring with his silence. we finished eating and i caught Jack starring at me with an emotion i can't define in his eyes.

kelsey, I appreciate you, you are a good woman, a rare gem, a beautiful being, you beautiful in and out....thanks for the time we have spent together......you have been a major sponsor in my career and I cant thank you enough.

I cut him off before he could continue, did u just say friend?

yes kelsey, you are my friend, and i am getting a little bit worried that you are taking this too far, i'll be leaving france in 24hours time, and i don't want you to have the mind that we were a thing, or i am your ex.

Jack!

i shouted!..causing people from other tables to look at us..i glared at them and they immediately resume what they were doing.

What do you mean by friends Jack?, you were my first love, first and only kiss....you even took my virginity you jerk!...i thought you loved me.

then he replied...'well, i honestly stylishy played the boyfriend's role, since you are GREGORY ROBBINSON'S SECRETARY! ....but i am tired of waiting, the man doesn't even know you exist...i mean how will he know you exist when, you dress to work in oversized clothes and big nerd glasses'.

But you told me to dress like that because you don't want another man seeing what belongs to you; i retorted.

well, have a nice life kelsey; he said and stormed out of the restaurant....leaving me to pay the bills.

The waiter came and handed me my bill which was 76,000 naira
