It was sister Blessing’s wedding, one of the ex corper’s in my district. I left Lagos with my well starched and ironed native attire heading to Modakeke, a suburb town in the area of Ife. It was the 27th wedding I would be attending and kept praying to God to send my way a bone of my kind my way before I attend the 30th wedding ceremony not as a single but it seemed God was still putting my prayer on call on hold. 
Out of the 27 wedding ceremonies I have attended, this would be the third invitation to Osun state, twice that I have been as a best man to two of my good friends while in school.

. After a four and half hours of journey from Lagos, I got to the Anglican Church at Mayfair where the church wedding would be taking place . I was shocked when I saw Sister Dee at the altar with our dear Sister. I had known they were good friends right from Lagos but what I never knew was Sister Dee making it to best on sister Blessing’s wedding ceremony. 
I sat down among the congregation and well-wishers who came to grace the occasion. After the long hours of preaching and lengthy words of admonition from the Pastor, the time for the groom and the bride to dance came

. Meanwhile, i have always bragged that the choir in my church were the best but never knew an Anglican Church choir could be this better. The groom was dancing happily to the melody emanating from the talking drum and the guitar, with sister Blessing showing us all of her hidden dancing skills that she had kept for long. 
“What am I still waiting for?” Lemme kuku ma join the couple dancing. I thought within myself. I stood up from the bench I sat on and headed towards the dancing mob celebrating with the couple. There, I saw one of the bridal train of Sister Blessing who walked past me, towards the exit of the church. 
“It seems I know this face somewhere”. I said to myself. I abandoned my initial thought of going to dance with the couple and trailed her to the exit of the auditorium, trying to locate the person who just walked past me.
