Frank explored his brain for ideas on how best to terminate Harry's visit to Mirabell's parents with embarrassment tagged along side with it. He drank his favourite drink as he planned on his line of action. He is the type that doesn't like competition and opposition for any reason. The moment he identifies some one as a threat to his aim, he gets rid of the fellow immediately with out giving anyone any acumen to suspect him. As of the moment , he is currently faced with two antagonists to his two different objectives . The first has been his senior brother who stands a hindrance for him in succeeding his father's wealth and position. In as much as he is still alive, the lions share will always go to him. frank being a greedy fellow finds it difficult to condone this So therefore to caution this effect , he made adequate plans to eliminate his brother which is still waiting for the right time to manifest so as to avoid raising suspicion towards his angle. The second and recent irritable development is about the impostor trying to take his bethroted wife away. ,to this effect, he came up with three different plans to be carried out at three different stages. First was to identify and reach agreementment with Mirabell's father and next , cause Mirabell to loathe him with passion and last to get rid of him for life so he won't stand a problem in the near future. He started pursuing his plans with immediately action

. He scheduled an appointment with Chief Gavin and during their course of discussion , he made known to him about the suitor who is on his way together with his family to seek his daughter's hand in marriage during the weekend, precisely saturday. Chief Gavin laughed at his daughter's stupidity . How on earth did she think that he is going to approve the marriage ? Except if he is not in his right senses. So therefore, he gave Frank his word and assurance that he will not and never give his consent to any marriage that include his daughter and any other man apart from himself. Frank's Ego was boasted to this. It gave him joy because he now have the conviction that Mirabell's father stands with him no matter what. If not a covenant, then a crucial promise which must not be broken. however, they also planned and reached agreement on the kind of embarrassment to administer to Harry and his kinsmen on their visit.

No matter how heavy the rain falls. and no matter how hot the sun shines, Mirabell has take a decision by-passing all odds just like her brother to be with the one she loves. Although , her father had made it point clear to her that he is never going to allow her marry any other person apart from frank , but then, she still have to try her best because she believes in the bible which says in the book of proverbs chapter 1 : 1 that; even the heart of Kings are in the hands of God. She believed God can still change the heart of her father and mother. Harry will be in their house together with his family in two days to come, and yet , she haven't told her parents about it. That particular evening, her father was in the sitting room along side with her mother . They were vision glued to the television which was displaying the 9:00pm news. So she ceased the opportunity to approach them and plead for them to grant her choice. ''Dad, mum,please I really want to talk to you both. can you grant me the favour please?'' she appealed after spending a couple of minute in the sitting room. Despite her conscious effort in choosing and organizing her diction so as to sound polite, her father still appeared irreceptive to her request. ''must you always be mannerless ? Can't that your rubbish discussion wait after the news? Why can't you sit down and listen along side with us other than perpetrating your silly interruptions.''

he ranted . '' I am sorry Dad'' she bowed in apology to show her contrition before taking a seat.

''so this is why my application was snubbed by the minister of education?'' Chief Gavin exclaimed few minutes later. Base on the information the journalist passed across, The reason why Mr. George Abedi the minister of Education signed the contract of the new secondary school project with The ''barnes group of companies'' was because of the good architecturey plan presented by one of the engineers that works under the company. ''who really is this architect whose plans superseded mine?'' chief Gavin asked again in disbelief. At this , Mirabell smiled to herself as the realisation hit her. She knows that Harry works with 'The barnes Group of Company'. the success of his contribution to the above mentioned company Was worth celebrating but it is quite unfortunate, his name wasn't mentioned. She hissed in disgust to that as if she was taking part in her father's consternation. After the news, Mirabell went ahead to table her petition to her parents informing them that her suitors will be there on saturday. And also appealing for their acceptance. All through she talked, neither her mum nor her dad Said a word. They both remained silent till they were sure she was done with her polite request. It was after then that her dad Nodded to her pleading. She took it as a green light and went ahead after thanking him to inform Harry through phone call to go ahead with their plan ebullently. Nevertheless, chief Gavin have his own plans. Declining Harry's visit means also declining his own plans. If only she knew the hidden agenda to be unravel during Harry's visit, she won't bother to ask him to push ahead with the plan.

While Mirabell with the help of Sarah and other House helps was busy making adequate preparations for Harry's visit with his family on saturday., her father was on the other hand ordering for bags upon bags of sarchet water. She wondered what he was going to use those sarchet water to dO.

. Her mother remained inside the room with out showing neither sign of concern nor that of disregard. She have been behaving strangely of recent according to Mirabell's prediction. She seemed to have withdrawn in persuading her to marry Frank and at the same time , do not support her desire to marry Harry. Very Early that same saturday morning, Frank arrived uninvitedly with four of his goons. That was probably part of the plan. He kept discussing cock and bull stories with Chief Gavin for several Hours while Mirabell reMained perplex anxiously waiting for him to leave. she goes down the sitting room each 20 minutes to check if he has gone but always to her disappointment, he showed no future sign of leaving. While checking up for the 8th time, her phone rang and it was Harry who informed her that they are right in front of their gate after she had picked the call. She unclogged her eyes in anguish. Why would her father invite frank to their house when he knew so well they are expecting her suitor that very day. 

A/N I am still confused. Can some one explain to me what Chief Gavin and frank are upto?
