Mirabell's eyes grew wide in disappointment as her heart burst and scattered into pieces. Fresh and hot Tears found their way from her eyes down her cheeks and her whole body felt so heavy as if she was paralysed.

''so this is why you are not picking my calls ? So This is what you Have been actually doing behind my back?''

Mirabell asked indignantly. The sweet familiar voice drew the nearly drunken Harry to authenticity . He unclogged his eyes wide to see Mirabell, the Love of his life looking at him disappointedly. This is the type of feeling he abhorred so much. He quickly got up and exclaimed remorsefully.

''Mirabell i can explain , its not what you think''think''.

He was tipsy earlier but the sight of Mirabell brought him to ultimate bases of actuality.

''there is nothing there to explain.its obvious I have been the side chick all these while.''

Mirabell replied. she turned around to leave and then saw Owen standing patiently at the entrance door. For once , she felt happy to see him. She made to reach for him but Harry was quick enough to hold her right hand so as restricting her from moving further.

he pleaded but Mirabell was not buying his explanation.

''Kalista , explain to her that we are not doing anything. Explain to her that we don't have any thing in common! Explain to her why you are...''

Kalista cut him short from his shouting.

'' what did I need to explain ? Are you not the one that brought me here to spend the night with You? Are you not the one that asked me to be your Lover? Why are you turning things around now? Are you not the one that...''

''save your explanations for yourselves, I definitely don't need it.''

she said forcing her hand out of his grip. When she hand succeeded, she reached for the ring in her ring finger and remove it.

'' I can't believe you are capable of doing this to me. I have kicked against my father's wish, received numerous slaps from him, received cold shoulders from my parents , all in the Hope of being with you. Little did I know that all my sufferings were in vain. While I was busy planning for our future, you were busy stabbing me at the back''

she lamented with deep regret. Her teary voice scattered him inside. He was burned exceedingly hot inside because he don't know what exactly to do to make her believe him. She took his right hand and squeezed the ring into it and said afterwards .

''i know I bought this ring but you placed it into my finger. I want you to keep it. It will be useful for you. you can even use it to engage your lover. it is over between us!''

''Nooooo! You can't do this Mirabell! It haven't gotten to this extent nah''

harry screamed in protest . Tears poured down freely from his eyes. He made to reach out for her but she ran towards owen and hugged him tightly.

'' please take me out of here''

she whispered into his ears. He gently carried her into her car and drove her out of the compound. Harry boiled more and more with anger. He immediately took out his anger on Kalista who was still reluctant to put on her cloths. He kicked , slapped , punched and push her out of his house then locked up the door. He cared less if she has to go home N*ked.

''you are too beautiful to be going through this kind of heart break. Had it been you listened to me earlier , the case won't be so severe''

owen said placidly to Mirabell who have been sobbing. It has been thirty minutes they Got to the love park where she spends romantic moments with Harry. She had beckoned on him to take her there. on a normal note, spending time there with Harry gives her over luggage of Joy and helps her forget the problems clashing at home. But here at the very moment. Things was totally different., every thing she saw reminded her of Harry. So therefore , devastation , sadness and dejection replaced the usual Joy and Happiness.

''i can't believe even in my dream that he is capable of doing this to me'' she bawled. She really can't believe its now over between them .she can't believe that All those happy times, all those promises and future plans are now a waste. She really can't believe that she can't be in his arms again.

. Thinking of all these made her wept the more. Even the pains Her her father's hostile antagonism caused her was no match to the one she was feeling right at the moment. Owen adjusted so close to her and cuddled her. She responded relentlessly looking so venerable and fragile. She evidently needs that hug although it is the counterfeit to her favourite hug. She would be feeling on top of the world riding on cloud-nine if the hug was coming for Harry

''i guess you loves him so much to be in such pain.''

he whispered.

''yes I does so much,''

she replied.

''don't worry. I am here for you. I will never break your heart''

he asserted. she smiled at his reassuring words.

''I really loves him like he is my life. But its unfortunate we weren't meant to be. My father's Hostility toward my relationship with him, I being bethroted to Frank Morgan and the worst of it, his betrayal to me all stands as a hindrance and impediment.''

Owen's demeanor changed that instantly after comprehending what she said.

''did I hear you say you are bethroted?''

owen asked in other to get himself clarified.
