"Mira , i know you love me so much as well as i do. But you shouldn't be doing this. You went too far"

Harry blurted glaring uncomfortably at the lady kneeling before him.

"what are you insinuating?" Mirabell asked soberly.

"its my duty to propose"

he replied promptly.

"i know its your duty but you are too slow. I am tired of waiting for you . My dad is at the point of giving me out to someone else and for me to keep on waiting for you won't help matters"

she explicated and Harry appeared cringe meditating on what she had said. After a moment of silent, she got up from the floor looking rather aggravated than sad.

"okay, i get the hint . You are not ready to marry me yet. Or You are still not sure or perhaps deliberating if i am the one you really wants to spend the rest of your life with or with the lady you were kissing in the restaurant"

she drops the bomb and his mouth opened wide with surprise. How could she had found out about that? Is he being monitored by someone? That he couldn't figure out at the very moment . But what was certain was that The thing he dreaded most was about to supervene before him. And if care is not taking, he will end up looseing the woman he loves with his whole heart

. Being evidently scared of looseing her, he started explaining him self immediately.

"Mirabell i don't know how you managed to find out about that but i want to let you know that its not what you think. There is nothing between us. She is just my colleague and..."

he continued apologetically but she cut him short.

"you don't need to explain because i trust you with my life that you won't cheat on me"

she says.

"thanks for the trust. I can never cheat on you and who said i am not ready to take you to the altar?"

he says as he takes the ring from her.

"i can't wait to make you the woman of my life"

He says again as he went on one knee

"i can't wait to make you my life partner and i can't wait to be the father of your children. Mirabell Graham, please will you be my wife?"

he asked finally. Mirabell found her Self smiling. A genuine smile that had not crossed her lips for the past two days. Their was tingles evidently rigmarolling around her body. This was what she wanted right?. To double silence her parents and so called betrothed husband. they will be kept aback by the time they sees the ring that is about to be slipped into her finger. She can't wait to see the disappointment and anger that will generate on Frank's face the moment she breaks the news that she's already engaged.

"should i take that cute and charming smile for a yes?" harry drew her back to authenticity with his second question. "Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! , i will marry you"

she exclaimed happily.

. She did not even understand the second question. All she knew is that

"yes"

is the most accurate and suitable answer given to any question at that moment. However . Harry slipped the ring into her finger and then they engaged on a tight hug followed by a passionate kiss.

"Mirabell we need to talk!"

Gavin stated as soon as he sauntered into Mirabell's room. She has been home since the past two hours and thirty minutes but haven't left her room for a moment. Even when she was told by Sarah their house help that the dinner was ready at the dining . She never made effort to leave.

"what do we need to talk about?"

she asked arrogantly.

"about the matter at hand"

he explained as he drew a stool which was beside the table and then sat on it. His eyes was busy doing thorough investigation on the room as if he is a detective. His wife wasn't lying when she said that her room had practically turned into a bouquet.

"i am listening" she blurted.

"mirabell ! Maintain your manner and mind the Way you talks to me. Have you forgotten i am your father or have you forgotten that i am a chief?"

He reprimanded.

"i didn't forget any"

she says with lack of respect.

"look mirabell, Frank is a good man"

Chief Gavin continued calmly "he is also rich so trust him to take care of you very well." " he is not a nanny , why should i want him to take care of me" Mirabell interrupted.

"okay, maybe you don't understand. Let me start by telling you things that happened long time ago and why you need to accept the marriage"

Chief Gavin said with the softest of his voice and with the way Mirabell glared at him, it shows that she fully have her attention channeled to him now.
