Father kept knocking the door and at the same time asking mom to come out.
Instead, Mother told me to keep quiet and also refused going out to meet with father.
But from the key hole we could see my stepmother laughing and making gestures towards mothers hut,
Father got tired of knocking and went to have his meal.
They must have stayed up late to have a decision judging by the time they woke up the next day.
By then me and mother had done all the house chorus that needs to be done.
That was when father came in to mother's hut, demanding to know what happened the night before.
But this time in a more sober mode,
When he saw that mother wasn't ready to speak,
He then asked "why did you throw your fellow woman food's away"?
I don't know you to be that wicked so please talk to me what really happened.
Mother looked at him and laughed, Ohio mother is getting dad angry by laughing so I thought oh my!
I wasn't wrong the beast in him is coming back .
So as he was about to slap her I shouted father NO.
He was shocked seeing me behind him for they thought I was outside playing.
So after father had calm down, I told him how everything happened,
How my step mom refused giving us food and how she and mother fought and even how me and mother ended up having Garri and palm fruit for dinner.
Dad was mad at my stepmother now that he went to confront her.
But before then he went back to my mom and apologized for all the things my step mom did to her.
Mother only smiled and said my husband is okay, but for peace to rein in this house she will cook her food and I will cook my own then you can eat from anyone you choose to eat from please.
"Yes I think that is a wise decision" said father.
But not before I show her who the head of this house is. So he left to meet with her.
His confrontation resulted in to a fight, it was so bad that it attracted the attention of the neighbors who came to ask what the matter was and some begging on her behalf and those who knew her very well only said she deserved the beatings and more others only hissed and left
