Saved by Love - Episode 10

 

     Even as the days grew by, Ombré increased with clients and wears. It majored in evening dresses, suit clothing and native outfits like lace, Ankara and Gini. After six months, Adara decided to celebrate the success of her Fashion Store. So, she arranged for lunch with just close friends, Akinlolu, The Williams and her staff. At the lunch, they introduced themselves, Bolade volunteered to take pictures and one of her assistants recorded it all as they sat, talked and chatted then the food arrived and drinks . They made a toast to Incognito and Ombré and then everybody settled down to eat.

  Just then, a call came through on Akinlolu's phone and he excused himself, he picked it as he got to a quiet area, his boss's voice came through, 

“Hello Akinlolu, how are you?”

“I am good sir and you?”

“I am very much okay. I just met with the General Manager of Starling Bank and the interesting thing is, his bank is the one sponsoring that Toronto Project so i decided to meet with him to just while away time and i discovered his name is Mister Akinola Ericson Coker. As we kept discussing he said some things similar to what you told me about your family so...”

“Is the man with you? Can I speak with him sir?”

“Sure. Hold on.” Mr

. Cole said and within a few seconds, Akinlolu heard a different voice, something in that voice that made blood rush through his veins,

“Hello, am I speaking with Akinlolu Coker?”

“Yes, yes, this is Akinola Ericson Coker right?”

“Yes man, can't believe it's you man, I am so excited right now, I want to see you, where the heck have you been?”

“Oh man, not now, I can't just up and leave, so what can we do? What about Akinloye?”

“Oh! He is doing good; we reAlly need to see. This is a miracle really. I will be free by February for a leave, that's five months from now, just send me all your details, let us hook up on WhatsApp and Skype, I really need to hear from you.”

“That's quite far but since we will be conversing via the phone and all. No problem. It's really nice hearing your voice D'ace.”

“Wow, you remember my nick.

“You can tell my boss to give you my number and do treat him very well, he has done so much for me.”

“I understand bro, later.”

“Yeah, take care.” Akinlolu said and he ended the call and few minutes later, Adara passed by him and stopped when she saw him and asked, 

“What are you doing here alone?”

“You can't believe what just happened?”

“What just happened?” Adara asked and Akinlolu shared the news with her and she said, 

“Hmmm, Akinlolu, you have started with this your jokes abi?”

“How can I joke with something personal?”

“Are you really sure of what you are saying?”

“Very much. All the glory belongs to God. If anybody had told me that I would hear Akinola's voice today, I would have insulted that person.”

“God works in mysterious ways. All thanks to God for finally answering our prayers.”

“Yes. In fact, I am going to be the number one testifier in church on Sunday.” He said and they both laughed, 

“By the way, you are looking beautiful today.”

“Hmmm, thank you.” Adara said and quickly entered her office because she knew where that would lead to. She liked Akinlolu but she still is not ready for any relationship and Akinlolu kept wondering why she was pushing him away in that aspect at least from the beginning she had told him God told her their destiny is intertwined, so why all these?, he asked himself then went to join the small gathering. 

  As the days grew by, two months passed by and Akinlolu advised Adara to get a small car and he loaned her some money and she added hers and she bought it. Also, Ombré was getting known but nobody knew who the owner was, and the media were really talking about the label, Ombré. There was a 24-hour active website for Ombré where you can order and buy wears online and have them delivered to your home. At the Zamani's house, Alhaji was still infuriated with Adara and her decision. He still hoped that one day she will get tired and come back home. In truth, he missed her.
