Roses & Thorns - Episode 4
Cars swerved in the cold night, little kittens meowed, traffic lights flashed, police chasing the bad guys, drivers horning, street lights twitching.
There were a lot of sounds that night, too many for one night.
Deep in the dark, men laughed, cackled holding their old, probably deceased lungs.
The silent puffing of tobbaco-filled cigarettes coupled with the clanging of beer mugs brought more laughter.
Young ladies danced seductively, swerving their tiny waists. Waiters smiled all night after getting tipped severally.
Pop music was blared everywhere, disco light of multiple colours sparkled the beer-stenched room.
Suddenly.......
The front door flung open with a thud . The few things that could now be heard were slight music, ladies whimpering and a few men who had the guts to mummur.
There was a shout, a high-pitched one like the one you'd hear from a roof having steepy sloping sides.
"It's him!" It was an annonymous female voice.
Everone panicked, running and shouting. There was pandemonium everywhere,
There was a cold smirk on his face, the disco light revealed half of them.
There was a random scuffle till all that was left was plastic cups, unfinished beer bottles, cigarette butts, a few bags and surprisingly the shop owner who was wiping the counter with a bright smile on his wrinkled face.
"She was here a few days ago, had a few shots, didn't talk to anyone and left."
The old man wore a short sleeve T-Shirt and a monkey jacket with a cream coloured bow tie in an odd manner. He looked simple.
"Was she alone?" It was the imposter, he was completely in black.
He slid a 100 bill on the counter with a bruised hand.
"Well yeah, drove alone, walked in alone, drank alone and left alone." The old man wiped a few mugs before putting them away.
"Anything else?"
"Nope, negative."

. He took off his round hat and placed it on the counter.
He brought out a pack of cigarettes, took out two, returned the pack and lit both of them at the same time.
He puffed hard at them both before releasing a thick cloud of smoke.
"I'll be back later, that's for all the fuss." He reffered to the bill he dropped earlier.
He walked out of the club, his footsteps could hardly, hardly be heared on the wooden floor.
But who the hell was he?
Who was the 'She' they were talking about?
And why was she being spied on?
He had left his hat on the counter, that for sure was on purpose. Why?. By the time the old man found out about it, he was long gone.....
