“Yes, we have to” the prince said.

 “By the way, Birian has not been back since he left this place almost two days ago.”

“It is quite worrying, my prince” Chief Jalami said “Birian has been acting old lately”

“I think I shall have guards go to his house and find out what has him glued to it”

“I support your decision, my prince”

A servant suddenly announced from outside “Chief Birian, shall he come in, my prince?”

A servant moved from a corner of the court and hit a drum. The door opened and in walked Birian.

“My prince” Birian bowed his head to the ground.

“Where have you been?” the prince asked.

“What you doing?” Ahl asked, closing the door behind him.

“Nothing,”FuoleI replied putting on his bead.

“Oh wow, this is nice” Ahl said, touching the bead.

“I know right, really really pretty” 

“Let me see” Ahl said and Fuole put it off.

He checked the bead with admiration in his eyes.

“I bet the Grand Queen made it” he said

“Yes, she did” Fuole replied “But how did you know so fast?”

“Well” Ahl held out the bead “every living being, and even the non-living in this palace knows that these initials only belong to Cleo”

“Oh yeah, that’s true” Fuole smiled “I forgot for a moment”

Ahl sat on a chair as he finished dressing up.

“Well, you ready?” he asked.

“Yeah” Ahl stood up, walking sluggishly.

“Cleo made two, I kept one for you” Fuole said

“Yeah, let’s get moving, shall we?” Ahl took his sword from the corner of the room and opened the door wide with a bow.

Fuole shook his head with a smile and walked out of the room.

“You know, you could’ve asked instead of just behaving like a three-year old” he said as he faced him.

“Well, I chose not to….” Ahl drawled and suddenly looked pale.

“Huh?” Fuole raised his brow and looked to his front.

 There, Nnuole stood, with her hands to her waist.

He looked at Ahl And back at Nnuole.

“Hi” Ahl said

“Hallo” Nnuole replied, with a little smile.

“Well,” I said “look who we have here?” Fuole stretched his hands dramatically and Nnuole hit one of them.

“We have to talk” she dragged him by the hands.

“About what?” he whined and she rolled her eyes at him.

“Can’t we make it later?” he asked.

“Oh, okay” she answered and let go of his hands.

“Yeah” he turned his back to her and she grabbed him by his clothes.

“But you agreed to later!” he shouted

“A second has passed”

“Yeah, just a second!” he said as she dragged him away.

“You didn’t tell when, Kung Fu” she laughed

“I’ve been pranked, I accept defeat”

“Better for you” Nnuole said “Sorry Ahlee” she waved

“It’s okay, really” Ahl said with a smile.

Fuole gave Ahl a face and Ahl stuck out his tongue. 

“I need new friends” Fuole groaned.

He hung his head and let Nnuole drag him away.

MARITA

“Are you balanced?” Baku, the guard, asked me.

“Yes, yes I am" I replied cheerfully.

I must be honest; these guards are really really lovely, nice and considerate . A little part of me feels bad for using them.

“You’re holding the sides of the horse like…” he laughed.

“Uhhh, I can’t help it”

“Of course you can, my lady” Lorki said.

I got to know the names of the three guards.

Mati is the head guard, while the other two are Lorki and Baku.

Somehow, I feel more comfortable with Baku.

“Just remove your hands from him” Lorki said

“Yes, my lady, but do not pull the reins or he will race” Baku said.

“Okay, okay, but he won’t throw me off, right?” I asked nervously.

“No, don’t worry” Baku replied, caressing the horse with one hand while holding mine with the other “he is quite gentle, unlike Lorki’s horse”

I smiled.

“Now, I’ll release your hand” Baku said “get balanced on the horse”

“Okay” 

He let go of my hand and I held the horse.

“No, let go and balance” Baku said

“Okay, okay, I’m doing it” I said, excited and a little fearful.

I closed my eyes and let go, my hands in the air

. I opened one eye.

“Yeah, I did it” I screamed

“You sure did, my lady” Baku said and Lorki smiled.

Our smiles were altered when we heard the thumping of a horse from afar.

“Who could that be?” I thought in my hand.

Baku helped me down from the horse and took me into the room.

“Shut the door behind you and do not come out unless we ask you to, my lady”

“Okay” I answered and pulled the lock behind the door, my heart suddenly beating fast.
