"Joseph"

someone shouted. A female voice called

"Is this really you?"

Said Anna mother as she entered into the spacious sitting room.

"Yes ma"

Joseph manage to say as he stood up to greet her

"Welcome mom"

Anna said

"What a great pleasure to have you in my house" she said

"I can't believe you would be in my house this afternoon. You are indeed an August visitor"

Joseph look so astonished . 'Why is everybody behaving like this? They have turned me into some kind of an alien. I know its mom negative talks' he thought

"I just came to drop Anna off" he said after he had caught his breath

"Really?"

She said and turned to Anna

"you didn't go with your car?"

She asked sarcastically. She was fully aware Anna had gone without her car. She had being the master planer, she told Anna to go without her car and asked Joseph to drop her off.

"Well mom, I tried it but it won't ignite"

Anna lied Mrs Taylor, Anna mother looks around and discovered that everywhere was dried.

She hadn't offer him anything not even a drop of water.

"Bad manners, Anna"

she said

"you didn't offer Joseph anything... Not even water"

"Discussion?"

Mrs Taylor repeated and Anna nodded

"would really be interested in such a discussion. Anna mind telling me about it later"

she was being sarcastic

"No problem mom" Anna said but Joseph cuts in sharply.

"Its nothing ma"

he said and gave Anna a wink

"its just about our past and that's all. Nothing so serious"

"Joseph, I was only joking" she said as she finds her way to the stairs

"joseph , make yourself comfortable and feel free"

'Feel free? how will i be free. I already feel awkward. Its like I should be home already in my dad's mansion then I will be free to do anything and talk to anyone, anyhow' he thought

"What would you Like to eat?"

She asked him

"Don't bother, will soon be on my way"

Joseph brush it off but she gave him a look and he could resist it

"I just ate grilled fish not up to four hours ago. Am okay"

"You won't come to my house for the first time without eating. It just like a snake that pass through the mountain without trace. You eating here today means a lot, it a beginning of a new memory"

Joseph stood still and looked at her.

That sentence 'snake without a trace' and'eating here today is the beginning of a new memory' touched him.

The last time he heard that sentence was many years ago when he visited Sasha house to the first time. She had offered him food which he rejected and she had use that phrase and that was seven years ago.

'Could history be repeating itself' he thought There is something about Anna he finds strange. She had something that made home feel comfortable.

. She wasn't the first girl he had been on a date with but she is a lot like Sasha. With the way she talks, her behavior.... 'Or is my Messiah back' He thought.

"What are you thinking about? Is it the lonely wife at home and the young children"

she said smiling That word made him more anxious, he didn't understand what was going on anymore. Sasha had used that phrase also on him. Joseph thinks he was going crazy, he couldn't find a perfect explanation for all what just happen.

"I should be on my way now" he manage to say after so many thoughts "Why?" She said and jumped in front of him "did I say something wrong? Or did my words offend you?" She asked looking blunt Joseph stood still for a minutes , he wondered how she had the complete character of Sasha . 'That's strange' he thought

"You didn't offend me, it is just that....." he tries to find words to say but he suddenly became so short of words.

He suddenly sighted the wall clock hanged adjacent to him

"it is late already, so I should be on my way. Still have to get something for mom at the mall"

he lied

"But at least drink something"

she offered

"Maybe some other time"

"Is that a promise?"

"Yes"

Joseph said, but he seriously didn't know if they were going to be a second date or this might be his last encounter with her, he doesn't know

"Tell mom am already on my way"

"Alright" said Anna "she would really be angry that you refuse my offer to eat or drink anything"

"Just explain things to her. The next time I would be here, I would eat or drink any thing you offer"

"That is another promise"

"Yes, scout honor"

Joseph said raising his right hand and she smiled Joseph make way to the exit, he had really enjoyed her company, she was a great listener. At one certain time he thought she was already bored of his talks but No! She was engrossed in it.

"Can't wait to know the concluding part. I want to know what really happen, when are you going to tell me the rest?"

"Hopefully when we get to see each other again"

he said and walked out of the house.

A question kept on ringing in Joseph head as he droves out of the compound. A question he didn't understand, something he didn't want to believe 'is my Messiah back?
