SIX MONTHS LATER
Kenny was greeting guests. It was her album release day, and she had just finished ministering. She was smiling and talking with her Producer’s wife, Mrs Kennedy, when she sighted a familiar face. No way. What was he doing here? How did he find her? She was not going to let this man or anybody steal her joy. God had been so good to her, nobody would spoil her day
. She was finally happy, finally free! Why was her past looking for a way to bring back in unhappiness? She was free from the bondage of sexual sins and was getting married to David who she had been courting for the last six months in two weeks. Now here stood the perpetrator of the greatest evil of mankind. Ouups!, that would be the devil, but then wouldn’t this mean that this man standing right here would be his son? The man who had defiled her and killed her twin, her other half and lied on top of that. Flashes of the events of that day hit her, her being raped, Taiye coming in to defend her and trying to fight Mr Babalakin, him hitting the flower verse on Taiye’s head and Taiye bleeding to death. She remembered how she had told the neighbors, ran to the police station but somehow, the police didn’t believe her, because when they followed her to Taiye’s house, they didn’t find the body. Apparently Babalakin had buried it somewhere, it was equally hard to prove the r*pe as Babalakin denied even sleeping in the house that night and claimed that Taiye had run away and he was equally looking for him

. That was how the justice system had treated her unfairly and the devil’s son had won. But that was then. The man didn’t have the right to make her life miserable forever.
‘’Please, listen to me, Kenny’’, Kenny looked down, the man was on his knees, apparently he had been talking for a while now, not that she cared anyways, as far as she was concerned the man was just wasting his time. People began to stare so Kenny walked away leaving the man there. She went into the studio, where she recorded her songs to cry, it was only when she got there that she noticed that someone had been following her, it was her fiancé David. David didn’t say a word, he just hugged her tight and Kenny kept on crying and hitting David’s shoulder. ‘’I can’t, I just can’t’’.
‘’hear him out, kenny. Just hear him out first’’.
What? ‘’You know him? How?’’, he scratched his head. ‘’How David?’’ Kenny was screaming now. She couldn’t believe David was taking his side. ‘’how could you take his side? Do you have any idea of what he did to me? He destroyed my life David, he destroyed my life!’’, she fell to the floor and let out a loud scream followed by tears. David bent down ,held her arms. ‘’he was directed to me by an usher after he told them he wanted to speak with you. You were busy with guests, so he spoke to me and told me who he was. Kenny he’s changed. He’s saved now and he’s seeking your forgiveness’’.

. ‘’Kenny this may be hard to do but God wants us to forgive those who trespass against us, no matter what they do’’
‘’David, he has you fooled’’. Kenny said cleaning a tear off. ‘’he can never change David. He’s an advocate of the devil! how can such a person change?’’. Kenny was still crying. ‘’Kenny listen to yourself. Remember how God saved you a few years ago? Imagine meeting someone from your past life and hearing them saying what you just said, how would you feel?’’ David stood up. ‘’look, all I’m saying is, he wants to apologize hear him out. Whether he’s sincere or not is between him and God, your job is to forgive him like Christ commanded and let it go, so that you will be totally set free from that bondage of un forgiveness, remember that we are to love our enemies too. I love you baby, but God loves you more, don’t disappoint Him’’. After this he pecked her and left the studio, while Kenny just lay on the floor crying.
