Jadesola(An Arranged Marriage) - Episode 6

 

"Gbe body e!  Zlatan!" The red club roared as soon as I entered, I found myself smiling and I bobbed my head to the sound of my favourite song.

"Because I swear God the vibe go killy dem kpa
Kpro kpro kpro, we go dey win dem like that" I hummed to the song, whispering the lyrics after a while.

Jide's hold on my hand tightened as we maneuvered through the sweaty bodies.

"Hold me and don't let go" I nodded excitedly, the vibe of  the club was getting to me and I really wanted to dance.

"What's up guys?!" Jide yelled and I peeped from behind him. There were three guys and two girls sitting at a reserved table.

"This is Jadesola, I told you about her" I stepped out from behind him and wove at them excitedly.

"Hey, its really nice to meet you guys" I said with all the sincerity in me because it was really nice to met new people who didn't dress like their only clothes were suits and ties.

"Hey, I'm Folarin" the darkest guy with a cigarette introduced himself, stretching his arm out, I took it and smiled at him.

"Gbe body e! Gbese! Gbese!
Gbe sole e! Gbese Gbese!"

"That's enough" Jide pulled me back and glared at Folarin who just laughed and puffs of smoke came out of his mouth.

"Oponu" Folarin said and continued to smoke . He was pretty hot.

"That's Chuks" he pointed to an Igbo guy who just made the peace sign, gave a smile and continued to pour down his drinks down his throat.

"That is Emmy" the guy who was looking at me like he had never seen a girl wove at me and I gave a small smile back.

"That's all" Jide clapped and I frowned.

"What about the girls?"

"Escorts" he whispered and my eyes widened in realization

"Oh...okay" I nodded and looked around.

"Let's get you something to drink, okay? These guys are high as f*ck already, yeah?" He asked like I was a baby and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not a baby, Jide." His eyes roamed my body and I probably liked it

. He licked his pink lips and I definitely liked it.

"I think that's pretty obvious" he chuckled and I laughed with my cheeks burning a little.

"Cmon" he tilted his head toward the direction of the bar. I followed behind him, bending as I tried to pass in between the people dancing like it was a 'dance or die' affair.

"What would you like?" Jide asked, sitting on one of the tall stools and I copied his motion even if it was a little difficult to climb.

"I'm not sure...anything" I answered because I don't drink.

"Jade, I need to know what you drink...to know how much you can take?" I wrinkled my nose and shook my head.

"Anything is fine, Jide...and its Jadesola" I corrected and he nodded, looking at me with a grin before turning to the bartender.

He spoke to the bartender and I looked around the club.

. It was hot and a little cold at the same time, the DJ sat at a far corner on a high podium and I exhaled.

'Maybe this is good...' I thought to myself

The bartender slid a tray towards us and unloaded five beautiful looking cocktails.

"Ouu! This looks delicious" I cooed and Jide chuckled.

"You'll have one..and if I see that you can take another one then I'll let you take another..." He raised an eyebrow at me and I shrugged

"Jadesola, is that a deal?" I rolled my eyes, still looking at the fancy cups and straws.

"I'm responsible for you the whole night...please" I looked at him and he looked almost nervous...or scared.

"Fine" his smile appeared and I glanced at the filled cups again.

"This is called long island ice tea." He said, pointing at the least fancy drink in a plain cup.

"I don't want that one" I shook my head, i had my eyes on the orange cocktail with a cherry, an orange slice, an umbrella and the fanciest straw.

"That's the jungle juice." He picked it and placed in front of me. I could almost taste it in my mouth.

He picked the long island ice tea and I sipped my cocktail, my taste buds almost exploded.

"Oh my gosh, this is so nice. It doesn't taste like alcohol" I told him with a smile and he chuckled.

"Yeah, that's the good part"

"What's the bad part?" I asked, still sipping on the tasty cocktail.

"It has a lot of alcohol" he removed the straw from his drink and then the cherry.

"Can I have it?" He tilted his head and looked at me like I just said something wrong.

"What na?" He shook his head and put the cherry in my cup. I smiled and he shook his head.

"What did you study?" I asked and he looked at me, then looked away.

"Business administration, you've asked before" he pulled out his phone and tapped a few things away while I sipped on the delicious cocktail. To be honest, I felt a little woozy and I didn't want Jide to stop me from getting another drink so I stayed quiet.

A few minutes later he looked up from his phone and raised an eyebrow at me.

"Is something wrong?" I shook my head and placed the empty cup on the slab.

"Can I have another?" He looked at me for a while and I smiled.

"Which one would you like to have?" He asked and his phone chimed. He looked at the screen and exhaled.

"I'll be back, wait here" he didn't wait for a reply before leaving. I shrugged and picked an Orange drink that looked nice. It had ice in it with a straight straw and a slice of orange.

I sipped it and groaned as it burned down my throat, it had a nice aftertaste though.

"Look At Me Baby, Call Me Zaddy

Are You Okay, Are You Okay"  The song boomed through the speakers and I found myself singing.

"Come To My Bedroom, Cassava Dey For You

Are You Okay, Are You Okay" I sang along, and watched as people danced on the dance floor.

I was already too impatient, I couldn't wait for Jide so I dropped my cocktail and danced my way to the clustered floor.

"She Say, Aye Oh

Aye Oh, Aww
Madu Madu Madu" I danced on my own comfortably. I threw my hands in the air and threw my hips around sensually because I knew they were looking.

I mean the male population.

I felt someone's presence and then I turned around to face and angry Jide.

"We're going" he growled and I laughed at his face. I rubbed his cheeks and he pinched his nose.

"You're so hot" I whispered and he looked at me cautiously before chuckling.

"You're hot too" he replied and I wrapped my arms around his neck, he was quite tall.

"Let's dance?" I pulled him closer and like the first time I noticed it, his Adam's apple bobbed.

"Sure" I grinned and slid my hands down to his fore arms, wrapping them around my waist.

"Comfy?" I asked and he nodded, blinking a few times more than necessary.

"You look nervous" I whispered and he cleared his throat.

"You're married" I laughed.

"To a cheater... I thought you didn't give up easily?" I pouted and he shook his head

"Do you know what you're asking me to do?"

"To chase after a lonely married woman?" I asked with a pout and he clenched his jaw, his hold on my waist tightened and his hands slid lower, down to my ass.

"Wanna know something?" I pulled him closer by his shirt and he was breathing heavily.

"It was a difficult choice" I slurred and giggled at the guttural sound he made.

"What?" He tried to whisper but his thick voice wouldn't let him.

"Whether to wear underwear or not" I whispered and I felt goosebumps on his arm.
