Death's Game - Episode 21

It was back to school. The bell rang like every other day signifying the start of class except this time I found it boring and irritating, we had not had any fun since the "double" near death experience. I groaned and cursed unnecessarily on my way to class chewing my poor pen. 

I walked into class and took my seat before looking around and it seemed every one sat at the edge of their chairs away from me as if afraid of something ready to take off if I made a sudden move. Taking deep breaths I locked my anger back in because it was then I realized I had been pouring all my anger out and just like that, like a spell had been lifted they blinked a couple times and sat comfortably as the teacher walked in.

"Hello students" Mr Frisco smiled warmly. He was the friendliest of them all with his hair tied up in a neat bun and his beard cleanly cut. He was definitely handsome to top his over all appearance and attitude to teaching. 

"So today we would be planning and selecting the committee for prom night" he said excited. Prom. I had almost forgot.

"Aren't you all excited too?" he asked and the whole class burst into fits of chit chats and whispers.

I was yet to even pick a dress, maybe I would go with Rina.

My phone buzzed as the class went on with the voting of the prom committee counsel. The message came from Derick

-hey, I ain't gonna see you today

I looked up at the teacher who was oblivious to me using my phone and replied back

Rina was definitely my top priority to hang out with at least today since i couldn't handle the boredom. I searched for her as I walked the hallway and sighed a relief when I saw her waiting at my locker.

"So I plan on going shopping with you" she put a finger in her mouth. I wonder if that was a nervous trait. She was thinking what I was thinking. I smirked and placed my books in my locker.

"Same thing I was thinking which means you are catching a ride with me"

She nodded shyly before I led the way. I didn't exactly know the place to go shopping so I had called my mum for directions to her best friends store while Rina and I ate away at a bag of chips.

We got to the destination and stepped out the car. It was far bigger than expected when my mum mentioned the store being moderate.

. I rolled my eyes at the memory.

"Woah!" Rina exclaimed as we stepped into the chandelier lit and glassy tiled room. "isn't this place way too expensive?" again her finger found her mouth.

"I guess" I shrugged but it was like my godmothers place, so it didn't matter as much but it was so shocking I hadn't come here before. We walked into a spacious room and took a seat at the middle where a girl with pink colored hair and a piercing on her lips came to attend to us although over all she was really pretty with sharp blue eyes, a button nose and plum curvy lips.

"What would you like?" she was polite enough for a girl with 'pink hair and piercings'

"Can i just see your boss" I waved her off. She almost looked taken aback

"Well no, she is busy" she spat. That attitude certainly did justice to her look. I laughed

"I guess I will go look for her then and tell her just how incompetent you are" I smirked

"Well you can't go look for her" she stepped to my front "so as a good visitor or whatever you are, you remain here" she eyed me rudely.

This 'thing' called a girl just let my anger loose. I took a step forward and she took one back, my anger as well as my blood-lust leaked through every fiber of my being. She was frightened to death, tears escaped her eyes and it was obvious she wanted to run but she couldn't afford to make a silly move as sweat broke on her face. Smart girl.

"don't you ever, ever" my face moved closer to hers "I mean ever speak to me like that" I eyed her slowly "do i make myself clear?" I gritted my teeth

She could only gulp audibly and give a silent nod

"Good girl" I whispered in her ears and pat her head like a good dog.

I moved back a little and spotted her with her blonde curls, blue eyes and slender body approaching us  and left the stunned girl to herself as I walked to meet her  "aunt Claire, I missed you so much" I hugged her tight.

"Baby girl I missed you too, why don't you come visit often" she teased "you are so big now"

"and you are still so pretty" I added

"Oh, gosh girl, stop making an old woman blush" she smiled inspecting me before looking over my shoulders "you brought a friend" she motioned to Rina who walked nervously to meet us

"hello mam" Rina blushed

"Don't mam me silly. i'm Claire"she hugged her and smiled "and what might your name be?"

"ooo, its Rina" she blushed in embarrassment making Claire laugh

"She is such a cutie, isn't she?" she laughed some more "and oh" she motioned to the 'pink haired girl' "I see you have met my daughter, Chloe" she beamed and continued "she might look like a punk but shes a good kid"

"They said you shouldn't judge a book by its cover" I beamed back at her in response to her statement and  looked towards Chloe smiling warmly like nothing had happened.
 

"Hi there Chloe, i'm Milianda. Let's have fun together"
