Adele - Episode 11

 

Gbemisola pedro never accepts defeat, she always pride herself on getting what she wants. From the moment she was born her parents always go the extra mile for her so as to make sure she is satisfied, since she was the only child. So anything she asks for,  she gets it but the tide soon change for the Pedros with the way they live due to their extravagant life style, her father business is not going smoothly like before and her mother being à full house wife could not do much.  
They had to cut back on their spendings,  but this new life style did not sit well with gbemi who is used to having everything she needs and everyone at her beck and call .             
              After she graduated from school she made up her mind to get whatever she wants by all means, So to enjoy the expensive taste she has acquises. Gbemisola knew that she is beautiful so she manipulates men with that fact, so when the director of her company said there is no vancancy for her during the time she was looking for job, she seduced him and like magic she got the job with full allowance package.
   Gbemi has heard so much about Richard in the tabloids about his company and his successful exploits so she knew all about him even before they were formally introduced. She decided she wants him for he will make a perfect husband for her, he is rich and goodlooking though he is a widower with kid she still intend to have him,what matters most is the money

. She finally met him and things start going in the direction she wants it to go though slowly, she still believes it will reach the climax.  But as of late things were not going the way she planned it, infact it seems it all going to crash land all thanks to a certain lady in the picture.
 'God i hate her with every stength in my being' gbemi muttered to herself, she was waiting for richard at a eatery for lunch so lost she was in her thought that she did not even know when richard walked to their table, ''hello gbemi, sorry i came late i had a meeting that is why, i apologise''  she looked at him with scorn, ''it always your excuse, when you know you were going to be late you could have told me not to wait instead of wasting my time sitting here, i have work too you know''.  '' But i just apologised, once again am sorry to have kept you waiting, can we now order for something, am famished'' .
        They ordered for their meal, ''so tell me why you were shouting on phone when we spoke, because you said alot of things that night most of which i did not hear'' richard coolly asked her, ''where were you last saturday more importantly who are you with'' she demanded. Richard laughed boisteriously, ''Need i remind you that am a grown man and i don't have to report or explain my movement to you, moreover you already knew the answer to your question since your spies most have told you''. She glared at him ''so it true, are you now sleeping with her?'' she demanded,''what! why will you think that, she is not that kind of a woman and besides we are just friends, is it a crime for me to go out with a lady?'', he asked  exasperatingly.

. ''look it obvious to anybody that you and i are not compartible, and i noticed that the relationship between you and my daughter is strained i think the best thing to do is to go our seperate ways amicably''.
  Gbemi slowly watch her chance of marrying richard go down the drain, she couldn't believe that all her charms are not working on him again, which makes her more furious. ''so you are now breaking up with me because of that girl? It alright, but don't believe for a second that you can use and dump me and think you can walk away free nobody does that with me'' she stood up and in the process knocking the wine on the table down which poured on richard, she did not even glance back.
     Gbemisola, took a cab back to her office, fuming inside all the way there. She could not help but blame herself on how she had let richard to slip away from her finger, ''i took the matter with levity, men are all the same and he is no different from the rest, it all my fault,  i must take a drastic step if am to get him back'' she muttered to herself. ''and that means i need to take that stupid girl out of the picture; nobody messes with me and goes scot free''. 

        Richard always keep a change of cloth in his office, so he decided to go back to the office instead of the house. Adele was surprised to see him with stained shirt but she did not ask how he got it, for she assume it can o nly be from the lunch date that he had with gbemi. She watched him stormed into his office and a few minutes later, her telephone rang , ''adele see me in my office''  she left her sit and went to richard's office. ''am here sir, what can i do for you?'' she asked politely. ''please have your sit'', she sat down and look expectantly at him, He cleared is throat and said ''from today henceforth do not allow miss gbemisola into my office, have already notify the security, if she calls don't put her call through okay?'' ''perfectly clear sir''. ''That aside whats your plan for  
Tomorrow'' adele was baffled by his question, ''sir i have no plans other than to come to the office sir'',  he smiled and answered, ''that is not what am referring to, tomorrow is your birthday isn't it?  Adele was surprised that he knew, since she will be working till the evening she did not really think about it nor make any plans.
      ''I don't have any plans for now sir'', richard was very glad to hear that she did not have any plans, for he wanted to be sure if there is a boyfriend around the corner, and since it appears there is none he can make his move. ''It alright then just want to know, you can leave''.  She went back to her office trying to figure out what richard is up to.
