The lovely day come, the day I have been eagering to see, my parents called me to the living room, in the presence of the whole family members including the head of family, I thought of what I have done wrong, but later on, I remembered it was time for me to leave for higher institution.
The head of family ordered me to have my seat after which the live long words of advice began from him to the rest of the extended family. They all warned me to remember the son of whom I’m and I should always remember God in everything I do, more so, they all warned me thoroughly against cultism, examination malpractice, womanizing and unhealthy relationship
. The family head laid emphasis on all this especially unhealthy relationships as he backed it up with a popular Yoruba proverb “ to mode ba to loko a a nii”.
My tears almost brimmed a barrel that very day, ruminating on how I will miss my dearest family and friends, being the first person to gain admission to the university is worth of being happy for, since the inception of our family it wasn’t easy. Every member of the family saw me off to the motor park in our village, including the women of the family reciting the eulogy of the family, as if I was going to a war front
