The studious work continues on campus, and I have totally adapted. I had known several places within the campus environment, numerous lecturers have been known and some of them have also known me through my incomparable performances in their various tests and lectures. As at this time, my name has been known among my fellow jambites both in my faculty and others.
It was through my excellent performances that I got to know Prof
. Adeyemi, one of the renown lecturers in the department of philosophy. One blessed Monday, he came to our lecture theatre, to address us on our performances in the previous test, immediately the old but intelligent man entered the lecture theatre, we all kept mute, because the manner in which he entered was quite unusual of him, he jumped on the podium and he greeted us all. He brought out a sheet of paper from his hand folder, I actually taught he wanted to announce our results to us but it wasn’t so.
After a bit sigh, the Prof called my name, my heart almost jumped out when I heard this, instantly I stood up and walked straight to him, I thought I have committed an unpardonable offence or peradventure my work was the same with another fellow, because the way he called my name really frightened me a lot.
I was already shaking on my feet, when he said,’ this young looking boy is extraordinary brilliant, he almost got all my marks.’ By the time he finished saying this, the whole class started making a joyful noise and I felt relaxed. I was overwhelmed with joy, the Prof handshook with me and he gave me #1000 for commendation he encouraged me never to relent or relax because my future is beautiful if and only I walk or work in the right path.
As I was going to my seat, my mates continue hailing me, they almost tore my shirt before I got to my seat

. On this joyful day, a new name was given to me by my mates which is EFFI-IWE meaning the one who is extraordinary academically. I was very happy throughout this day first for the commendation, secondly for the money and thirdly for shaking hands with a Professor. I knew from the inception of my family no one has ever handshook a Professor not to talk of collecting money from him. Indeed I’m a record breaker I said.
After all this, the man briefed us with the next topic he made it known to us that we are to complete all the courses left within two and half month so that we will be able to do several revision before the exam. After some minutes he left the class after calling the attendance of those present in the class one after the other.
