Grey sat on the couch in the living room, flipping through channels,

he was trying to get a comfortable position to place his hand,

the pain as subsided a little but the pain was still there

He looked up when he heard his mother's footsteps

Good morning son, Anna said with a smile 

Good morning, Grey mumbled as he continue to watch the television 

Are you going out today? Anna asked her son 

Maybe, Grey said, 

Uncle Beelzebub wants to see me later, he might have a job for me, he said as he shrugged

Thats great, Anna said with a smile, 

Grey turned his head to look at his mother and stare at the smile playing on her lips,

he wonders why she is in such a good mood, he knows his mother know very well that the job his uncle has for him will  likely be for him to capture or kill an Angel 

So he does not understand why his mother seems happy,

if it were to be another day, her mood would have been deflated, knowing her son is going to kill or capture an Angel.

"Something is up with her" Grey muttered quietly as he turned back to the television

After few minutes of silence, Grey spoke

Mom, do you want to tell me something, he asked 

You look happy, or are you having somebody coming home, is it the reason you asked if am going out, Grey added

Why would you think son, Anna said

I don't know, you are not saying anything, but if you are seeing someone, its okay with me, Grey said

Anna chuckled, I can't believe we are having this conversation

Grey ignored his mother's words, as he continue to watch the television

If she is not going to tell me, its perfectly fine, since she never tells me anything, Grey said to himself

Well am not seeing anybody, Anna said finally after a minute of silence

is it a crime, for somebody to be happy? She asked with a smile 

Grey ignored her word, he just know she is not telling him something 

I just feel something great will happen today, she said with a huge smile on her face,

Grey eyed her, without saying a word

You will get to understand soon, Anna said quietly, and stood up before Grey could ask any question

Do you want something to eat? Anna asked a bit cheerful

Oh don't worry, I will just make you something to eat, she said as she hurried to the kitchen

Grey shook his head, 

"She's acting weird" he whispered to himself as he watched his mother disappeared into the kitchen

 

Few minutes later, Grey heard a knock on the door, he groaned as he stood up to answer the door

He saw a demon leaning against wall

What do you want? Grey asked as he crossed his hand watching the demon

Master, wants to see you right now, the demon said, and left immediately,

Not everybody likes to be in Grey's presence  because he looks very intimidating,

and the frown on his face does not seem to help, he might not be angry but he always has a frown on his face.

Grey scrunched his face, why did the master call for me early,

am not suppose to meet him now, not until three hours for now, he sighed softly as he entered the house 

Mom, am going now, Grey said loud enough for his mother to hear him,

but before he made it to the door, his mother came out running and gave him a hug

Grey frowned a little at her action, not because he was not used to his mother hugging him, even though he does not need it,

"but this hug feels different",

he did not hug her back though, but he did not try to pull away either

Anna pulled back a little after she was satisfied hugging her son

"Good luck" she said as she kissed her son's forehead and left Grey standing there looking  stunned

Does my mother now agree with me killing Angels or what, Grey whisper to himself, he was really confused 

" she's so complicated" I don't even understand her

He left the house and shut the door behind him and made his way to meet his uncle

 

It did not take long for him to show up at his uncle's doorstep,

he knocked softly on the door and waited for his uncle's response,

immediately he heard it, he opened the door and entered the house, shutting the door behind him

His uncle was standing in the living room with his back was facing him, 

Grey took a deep breathe,

Right now,  the man standing  in front of him is no longer his uncle but his master

You were late, Beelzebub said 

Sorry master, Grey mumbled 

I will pardon you, Beelzebub said as he turned to face Grey

Grey quickly averted his eyes as he stared to the ground 

Its been two days since we have captured any Angel, Beelzebub said with a deep frown on his face

I want you to go out there and capture any Angel, and bring  that Angel back home with you, Beelzebub said sternly 

Yes master, Grey said, as he lifted his eyes from the ground, he turned and exist the house

Its nice to have something to do, Grey whispered as he walked down the hallway, 

"Am coming for you" Grey said with a mischievous smile playing on his lips as he vanished.

Ariel glanced outside her window, for the fifth time today,

she has been indoor all day, but it just seems as if something is calling for her,

she sighed softly, as she did not have time to think about anything, she took her phone, which was laying on her bed, she opened her door and made her way downstairs.

Hey, Elena said to her daughter, with a smile

Ariel took a step closer to where her mother was standing and kissed her on her cheek

How is my princess doing today? Elena asked

I'm fine mom, Ariel replied with a smile

I just want to go out and strech my wings, Ariel said 

Are you going out with your dad or your uncle?, Elena asked her daughter

Ariel shook her head, I'm going alone mom, 

Alright make sure to go somewhere humans won't see you when you strech your wings, Elena said sternly 

Okay mom, Ariel said walking towards the exist 

Do you have your phone with you, Elena questioned 

Her mother knows she could easily contact her daughter through the Angels whisper,

but its not always reliable, if ones mind is not settled, there is no way, you can get through to them,

that's why her mother always ensures that her daughter has her phone with her 

Yes mom I have it, Ariel said as she waved the phone in front of her mother, before she left the house,

she could have easily flew from the house, but she just decided to go outside 

She looked around her house, her house was far from other houses, to avoid humans accidentally finding out about her family 

She sighed softly as she flashed her wings and vanished.

Ariel landed in a place that is far from humans she put back her wings inside, as she look through her environment,

she sighed softly as she started walking, not really have any where in particular to go,

After few minutes of taking a walk she found a place to sit down

Grey has been looking for Angels for hours, with no luck, 

Where are all those stupid Angels he muttered angrily

He continue walking and keeping his senses high at alert in case he Senses any Angel that is  near.

Grey suddenly stopped on his track when he sensed an Angel, he smiled to himself

"Finally" he muttered 

He walked slow as he tried to mask his scent, so the Angel won't know he was approaching, he got a glimpse of the Angel 

"A female Angel" he whisper to himself as he hasten his footsteps

Before he could pounce on her, she suddenly turned her back

Ariel sensed a demon nearby and she suddenly turned her back and saw a demon who was ready to attack her,

she quickly stood up, giving space between herself and the demon,

she could have easily flashed her wings and left but she shake the idea from her head

Its time I show at least one demon to stop messing around with Angels, she whispered to herself 

 

Grey came out from hiding and faced Ariel, he smirk at her

You want to fight, little Angel Grey spat

Ariel really got angry, she was tired of people using her size to judge her strength 

Why don't you show me what you got, Grey said as he crossed his hand and waited

Ariel wasted no time in lunging for him, she quickly swept him off his feet,

Grey fell hard on the ground he was surprised by her strength 

Nice, he said as he stood up

After few minutes of them fooling around all in the name of fighting, Grey quickly put an end to it

We are done playing around now Grey said sternly

I need to take you to my master now, Grey added as he lunged for Ariel 

Ariel Struggled in his grip, which made them fall to the ground,

Grey immediately pinned her down, he was on the verge of hitting her but something immediately shift between them

Grey looked at her again  and different emotions hit him at once,

Ariel felt the same thing

they were both so confuse to why they were feeling this way towards each other all of a sudden 

until realization hit them both

 

" soulmate" Ariel whispered with shock expression written all over her face.
