Black Beret - Episode 4

 

Handling a gun for the first time was more than a scrimmage to Parcy, but he never cared as he placed his fingers across the trigger like an expert. 

He was ready to release a bullet into Scorpion's skull and doesn't care how he does it. 

His actions got everyone surprised and speechless, as they were all in static mood. Undermining the fact that the initiation process has been put to an halt Kasie still wants everything to continue, hence he walked to cover scorpion up by standing in front of Parcy, with the gun facing him this time around;

"Young boy, I love the fact that you are filled with confidence and strength but don't take the wrong decision . Kindly drop the gun" Kasie instructed in a polite manner

Parcy who was shivering and sweating profusely, decided to obey Kasie by dropping the gun on the floor even if it wasn't what he wanted at that moment. 

Immediately, Scorpion picked up the gun and wanted to beat the hell out of Parcy, but he was stopped by Kasie who ordered the initiation rituals to continue without the blood tasting aspect. They were able to blend Parcy into the Black Beret successfully, and gave him a jungle name "Akala".

His real name was not known by any of them. Which made every member to start calling him Akala, from that moment.

Parcy woke up with pain all over his body, he couldn't rise up from the mattress

. He was still on bed when three ladies on black and black attire walked in with various packages like boxes and bags in their possession;

"Akala! We are so sorry for banging into your room without knocking, I'm Lady P the Queen of Black Beret and I have with me princesses of Black Beret. We are here to massage and render medical care to your wounds" She elucidated.

Parcy couldn't say anything as he kept on staring at them. Without wasting a second, the girls who came with Lady P cleaned up his body with warm water and gave him a romantic massage.

All Lady P does was to observe all the activities going on. After everything they gave him a mini ecolax box containing clothes and told him to get ready, that in the next 1hr time he will be taken to his family house. Deep within Parcy a.k.a Akala he was happy, not only because he will be going home to see his parents and younger sister. Rather, it was due to the fact that nice and harmless girls are around the camp of the so called Black Beret;

"Thanks" Parcy whispers with a weak intonation.

"It's nothing, just play safe with the war Lord and try to yield to his instructions, if you wanna live" Lady P utter.

"Who is the War Lord?" Parcy questioned.

"Kasie..." She replied, as she gave the other girls sign for them to leave.

As they approaches the door, she turned towards Parcy again with a wink this time around; 

"You got a strong fist, and a nice body... See you some other time" She said before shutting the door. 

Parcy was shocked with her statement, he knew Lady P has a reason for winking at him but he prays she doesn't have a bad motive. 

3 HOURS LATER

A Sienna space bus was parked adjacent to Parcy's father's compound, the place was so dried that thinking of seeing even a fly inside the building was impossible. 

Luckily for them, they saw a young girl of about 9 years old selling plantain chips. They stopped her and instructed her to go into the compound and check if anybody was inside, that if they open she should tell them she is looking for Ada.

At first the girl was scared but they assured her that nothing will happen to her load, and they will even buy everything. 

She went in, and after about 7minutes came back to them; 

"How did it went?" Kasie questioned the young girl who was a little bit timid.

"Hmmm.... After knocking several times, a lady opened the door and asked me who I'm looking for. I told her I'm looking for my friend Ada, then she called her out but I told them that this is not the Ada I'm looking for" She explained.

At this point Parcy was a little bit placid. He believed the lady the girl is talking about is his mum and knowing also that Ada is alive, was another source of his happiness. But he needs proper confirmation. 

The young girl was asked to go, after they gave her Five Thousand Naira (#5,000) without taking any of the plantain chips. 

Kasie then told Scorpion who was dressing on suit, to go and confirm who the two persons were. 

Scorpion went into the compound as instructed by Kasie, and met the same woman and a young girl of about sixteen years (16yrs) of age; 

"Good day ma! I'm from Warri youth council secretariat, and I have a message for the owner of this building. I came here some time ago for this same purpose but met no one" Scorpion lied with seriousness written over him.

"I'm sorry my son, the owner of this building died just yesterday with his wife who is my daughter, leaving this innocent child behind... I'll advise you to come back in some months time, maybe by then someone will be available to attend to you" She suggested, with tears dripping from her eyes

"I'm sorry for your lost ma! Just take it easy, I'll let our office know about it" Scorpion said, as he tends to walk away... 

Indeed, the news has gotten to him and he must present it to Kasie and every other person that cares to know, just the way it is.

Scorpion's heart was more than a glamour of joy. He was happy because he hates Parcy, and sees him as a threat in the Black Beret confraternity....
