Why the Pretence - Episode 11

 

January  was finally here, school resumed, i resumed not because of Pauline's issue with Kingsley but because of the was fed up of home, I was no longer used to extremely long sermons and Service in my local church at home.

Even Kelvin resumed early,  we where Happy not just Because we missed each other but because of our achievement thus far , we where now in 300level, 2 more years to graduate, I can't wait oo, the journey has not been easy

Service for the semester resumed on the 14th of January, the service that day was cool, it was obvious everyone wanted to know the out come of the issue with the Zonal pastor.

It was time to preach, PST Laide preached , he talked on immorality, after the long sermon, he called Pauline and Kingsley to the altar.

He said, Kingsley all this allegations against you are they true.

Kingsley replied yes, the whole church became noisy, people where different things .

The Zonal coordinator told him to throw more light on the issue, immediately the church was quiet.

Kingsley's POV

I know I have disappointed a lot of people but my issue did not start at once, or all of a sudden, it started long before I gained admission, I saw my cousins watching pornography, I decided to check it out, and before I knew it, I was addicted to it, I tried to break free from it, but it was very hard, I was very spiritual, my spiritual life wasn't affected by the sin, but I knew it was bad, I was always wishing I practiced it with a girl but I was scared until one day.

Happy called me she wasn't fine, I went to visit her,  I wasn't scared to go alone because I assumed she was a good person, on getting there she seduced me, which I fell for cheapishly, we started having sex, sometimes she requested I r*pee her, I did it, though I knew what I was doing was bad but I was enjoying it.

During the period Pauline lost her father, Happy and I had some issues and she was starving me of sex, I knew it was not her right on, but I was already addicted to it.

At that point because of my closeness to Pauline, I was developing feelings for her, i never planned to rape her but I couldnt help it. I could not ask her out because she was too spiritual, I knew she will start avoiding me,  until this very day I was so desperate , I raped her, I felt bad after the whole issue, I tried looking for Pauline but she was avoiding me, I got fed up at a point.

Happy broke her pregnancy news to me, I was screed, she told me not to worry she will abort it, I was not ready to father a child but I begged her not to, she assured me that she will be fine, it was not her first time.

The drug this time had a bad effect on her she died, but before she gave up, she texted me to repent of my deeds, which I did, but I couldn't just confess to the church

The church became noisy again, everyone was shocked, I said to Kelvin , who could ever think this guy could do Such after punishing Caro for getting pregnant outside wedlock, he even criticized people that where dating secretly in the church when he found out.

Don't mind him, he was too full of himself everyday for the thief oneday for bthe owner, finally God has exposed him, Kelvin said.

The Zonal pastor told him to choose between two iptopti, either his name be removed from church history or he serve two months in a unit in church and go through workers teaching again.

He agreed to go through the workers training and also served in the Bible study unit, after the two months, it was so obvious he had changed , he was more humble and calm.

PST Grace POV

I was indeed sure he had changed, he was already a graduate for him to go through those process with some special labor at the Secretariat without complaining nor running away, I had a meeting with the excos, everyone agreed to forgive him except Jane, but he was finally forgiven and was allowed to go home.

Seyi's POV

Pauline came back to the fellowship with Victory, Hannah also gave her life to Christ and joined our church, I was happy for them.

I also advised Pauline to be careful of food she collect from people, we became so closed, she was in my class, we all started reading together, me, Kelvin, victory, Hannah, Pauline and Bosun.
