"Baby how was school today?" Ufuoma's mum probed as she pecked her on the forehead. Ufuoma returned home by 03:00pm as opposed to the usual 02:00pm the school closed because the principal was giving a speech which she slept through. Her brothers had long gotten home and she could see them from the kitchen's window playing football. "You wanna talk about it?" Her mum asked
. Her mother (Onome) owned a very large provision store where she employed loads of people to work for her while she supervised. "I just want to sleep"Ufuoma replied her.

Lanre smiled as he rinsed the dishes. He had never really noticed Ufuoma before, but he was determined to know who got the perfect score and got the first position in physics. He'd just transferred to the school in SSS2 and at his former school he was always the best in physics which was his favourite subject. He recalled when he'd ask members of his clique who UFUOMA THOMPSON was and they'd never heard of her before
