They heard a knock from the main gate.
Without thinking twice, Jennifer run to hide under the bed, Joyce cuddle herself under the sofa, Janet that didn't know what happened cover herself with the huge blanket on the bed.
The knock did not stop, it was very rampant, it increases pace, Jennifer was saying her last prayer she was not sure what will happen in few minutes time.
She wept bitterly while she holds unto her cloth as if her life depend on it.
Janet just sleep silently on the bed, she can't figure out what is happening yet, she think of johnbull then smile even after the fact that she's in an unknown serious trouble.
Joyce was irritated, she thought of how her family died, hiding for people she don't even know irritate her than death itself. If am to die then so be it, she stand up from under the sofa.

Adaku stopped knocking, even though she has money she was still tired, the two boys in her care since they were baby were badly injured from the attack that night yet her spirit still want her to seek refuge in that house, she was planning on trying the next house when a girl open the gate.
The girl looks empty, her face was dry, obviously she had been crying.
Adaku wonders what took her so long before opening the gate.
Am not a monster dear, my boys are sick and i needs help.

The boys survived gunshot, i smile when i knew they survived and i cry when i knew they are in pain, dear little sister please help me.
Joyce couldn't withstand the agony in the lady's voice and let them in.
She took them to the sitting room, went inside to inform the beautiful cowards.
The girls never believed her in the first place but she swear it true.
Their legs were shaking as they walk very slowly to the living room.
Jennifer want the ground to just open and swallow her, Janet want everything to just end as well, she was not sure if she would even survive even if there is no danger waiting for her in the living room.
The guys that killed her parents want her dead also and they seem not to be ready to let her escape.
Her brain was empty but she kept walking towards the living despite the fact that she might die but she kept walking.
Joyce wanted to smile at their coward act but she don't have the strength, the situation she saw the boys was not good at all.
Adaku sat on the flour with the boys head on her laps, they were breathing very slowly.
Adaku wanted to cry when she saw Jennifer, but Jennifer knew nothing.
I know him!!! Janet said in alarm . pointing at one of the boys.
It was johnbull her first love.
She rushed to him.
What happened? She asked crying.
