Why do I know this?

Why do I know this?

Everything around me swirling and swirling

The ringing in my head is blinding

Making me fall to the ground with its impact

That truth,

That I turned a blind eye to

That one I never wanted to hear

Had been given to me on a plate of fire

Why do I know this?

I had wanted to bury it

To bury it far far away in my mind

And then carry it to my grave.

I cannot cry, for I have no tears left

I cannot eat, for my taste buds seems to stop working

I cannot stand, my legs have refused to co-operate,

Why do I know this, this has sent my world crashing down

As it is been given to me,

The fire burns me

Consumes my whole being

And sends me begging for mercy.
