Until Then

Together that night, we gazed at the stars

He held my hand and nuzzled against my neck

He was so near but he was still so far

When I confronted him, he just gave me a peck

"Y'okay babe?", I asked at the wine cellar

"I need to tell you something", he replied rubbing the bottleneck

When he dropped the news, my mouth was left ajar

Gasping for air, I ran towards the deck

He didn't follow, I never knew he was such a liar

I wasn't loved, just pitied, I fought to keep my tears in check

He had been pretending , He really deserved an Oscar

I allowed my tears flow, tugging at my turtleneck

Crying and Sniffing, I looked up at the star

Lonely in the sky but still fought against the black

And then I realized there's still hope, I can't keep going linear

I could still be happy until then I couldn't afford a wreck.
