The man behind the mask, is a mystery
No one knows his name
Never showing his identity
He’ll never show his face
The man behind the mask
He’s silent like a grave
Keeping the mask on
People wonder who he is
The man behind the mask
He want to break free, run wild
He don’t want to be turn down
He don’t want to be mild
The man behind the mask
The world is cruel, its harsh
The world is more judgemental
The world is the reason he hide the true him
The man behind the mask
He want to be happy, joyful and full of glee
He want to expose the loving side of him
He want to be vulnerable, cared for and admired
He’s just a man behind the mask
Hiding from his true self
Hiding because he’s afraid of what he will see
Hiding because he’s afraid of what people will say
He’s the man behind the mask
He’s keeping the real him
Behind bars, locked up, inside a casket
That’s the worst part about hiding the real him
The man behind the mask
His mask, hiding his true self
Displaying happiness but a mask will never be the truth
His mask will always be his hiding place
He just want to rest
To live a life without facade
To be weak and cry out his worries for once
To not hide behind the mask.
