IYAWO EJIGBO

iyawo is always at home
Always tending to all that's own
Always nuturing what she has to see grow
And she's fierce to protect her interest about what she knows. Iyawo's dark skin is only scratched by mark on her face that gives away where she's from
She is warm and inviting, and the only time she frowns is when she thinks of the "change" she does not have.
Even on Sundays iyawo will not go, she makes sure she welcomes and says goodbye to all that visit her.
She offers gifts, gifts worth paying for dressed in the same attire.
"Mineral si"? She would say to everyone and anyone, her source of existence is in her work.
I have never seen iyawo sad, she is always deligent in her job, or maybe she's too busy to sob, or maybe she doesn't know another word.
"Mineral si" she would say and smile and if you don't say a word, iyawo will walk away.
In her catwalk of pain and pleasure, in those steps of hope for the future, in a way that say she is a lady of culture.
Iyawo ejigbo!!
She said goodbye to me once, but I came back. And each time I go and come, she always say welcome.
I don't pray for a final goodbye but I know that day will come, when I will see ejigbo's Beloved iyawo NO MORE!!!
