Decisions

Decisions

I lay on her her grave
Roses to my chest
The smell of her morgue preserved body nauseated me
Dark clouds hovered above me matching the colour of my heart
The sun had perhaps forgotten to shine today
With raindrops flogging me hard
I embraced each ounce of pain
And let my tears camouflage with the rain

It wouldn't hurt this much if I was the one six feets below
My life should have been the one to be taken
She wasn't supposed to make that decision for me
For the sake of our love
She should have let me die
Why did she save me?
Why did she leave me to a bitter life?
A life without her
Why did she make that decision?
