The fog

"Hi there" I said

Staring down at me silently as if I just spoke to the empty space, he continued his journey to the rooftop. I was taking more than one step at a time for me to catch up with him. My heart wandered and I asked myself why I was following this stranger. I've never met this man before not until tonight at the engagement party of my friend. Everything had seemed alright from the start of the day even to the beginning of the occasion until this man entered and everything went bizarre . People were with mixed feelings of this man's presence and right there it seems I'm the only one in obscure. Maybe the reason why I followed this stranger is to know his identity since none of the party attendants was willing to disclose his identity to me. I just didn't want to believe what the other me was telling me, could he be my friend's ex?

 A tap on my shoulder brought me back to reality and then I realized that I had lost track of him.
