Nkechi's Dilemma 2
Nkechi woke up the next morning and ran downstairs. She went out of the hotel into the streets and saw a shop selling clothes. She bought herself a new set of clothes. She bought a brown shirt and green trousers. She also bought a pair of spectacles and a face cap.
She then went straight to the hotel room to change her cloth and to freshen up. The cloths were all meant for disguise in case she comes across any of Sylvester’s men . She went downstairs and entered the street and started heading nowhere.

Sylvester and his men woke up in different postures and they were all surprised that they slept off in the club overnight. Sylvester stood up to his feet and checked his pocked for his keys and his wallet. They were all long gone.
“The girl, where is she”? He asked worried as he tapped the back of one his men who was still struggling with his sleep.
“She’s nowhere to be found”, one of the men said immediately.
“We all became drunk and the girl probably ran away when we were all sleeping”, another said.
“Didn’t we chain her legs and hands”? Sylvester asked immediately.
“No boss, you told us to tie her hands when we were at the slave trader’s port”, one of the men explained.
“This is bullshit!!! The girl took the key the lorry and my wallet which is full of the money for our business for the next two months”, Sylvester explained sorrowfully.
“She couldn’t have gone far, one of the men said again.
“Come on, then let’s go and search this area”, Sylvester commanded immediately.
They all ran out and saw the lorry staring at them but there was no key to start the engine.
“Bravo, hot-wire the lorry for me and let’s get the lorry running”, he said as he pointed to one of his men.
The two other Sylvester’s men went to comb the area to see whether there was anything suspicious. Bravo went to the driver’s seat, bent down and took two wires expertly from underneath the steering and used the naked parts to touch each other

. The engine started after some few tries and they both waited for the two men to come back.
“Did you see anything suspicious”? Sylvester asked them as they were still breathing very hard.
“No boss, we can’t find a trace anywhere”, one of the men said.
“Enter the lorry and let’s check out the streets”, Sylvester said.
“Where do you think she can be right now”? Bravo asked.
“She’s with enough money so she might visit the market”, one of the men said intelligently.
“That’s true Godons”, the third man said.
“Okay then, lets visit the market place”, Sylvester said.
Bravo drove the lorry and stopped in some metres away from the market. They all came down and ran towards the market.
“Let’s spread out”, Sylvester said again as they went to different parts of the market to search for Nkechi.

Nkechi went to the bus stop and started enquiring direction on how she can find her way back to Amantu village.
“You are very far away my sister”, one of the driver said.
“How far am I from home”? Nkechi asked curiously.
“You are two cities and a small town away my daughter”, the man explained.
“How many hours is the journey going to take me”? She asked again.
“Nine hours”, the man said conclusively.
“Okay then, let’s go”, she said.
“What”? The man exclaimed immediately.
“Don’t worry, I’m going to pay you more than enough” she said as she showed the man her wallet.
The man, on seeing the content of the wallet drove the other passengers out of his bus immediately and told Nkechi to sit in the front seat.
Nkechi then bought bread and some other snacks and promised to give some to the man on the way as they travelled. The engine started and her journey to Amantu village kicked off.
